Aarau (German pronunciation: [ˈaːraʊ], locally [ˈɑːræʊ]) is a town, a municipality, and the capital of the northern Swiss canton of Aargau. The town is also the capital of the district of Aarau. It is German-speaking and predominantly Protestant. Aarau is situated on the Swiss plateau, in the valley of the Aare, on the river's right bank, and at the southern foot of the Jura Mountains, and is west of Zürich, and 65 kilometres (40 mi) northeast of Bern. The municipality borders directly on the canton of Solothurn to the west. It is the second-largest town in Aargau after Wettingen. At the beginning of 2010 Rohr became a suburb of Aarau.

The market in Aarau is every Saturday morning along the "Graben". You get all different kind of local produce like veges, fruit, flowers, cheese, meat and bread.
It's rather expensive but you support the locals.
There is always a pasta-car there that sells fresh filled pasta. They make seasonal fillings and are to die for.

Your Chocolate Moments Enjoy the world of Chocolat Frey with all your senses. We'll take you on an interactive and poetic journey through chocolate.
I've visited Chocolat Frey with family and friends from foreign countries 5 times already and still love it. Unlike what other people have written, I think that it's actually pretty cheap. You have fun making your own 2 chocolate bars and then can spend like an hour on the tour and eat unlimited chocolate from a conveyor belt at the end. Remember: this is Switzerland! I when I told friends how that it cost 24 francs everybody says that's cheap. And I've checked what other chocolate factory tours cost, and it's more than 3 times as expensive! Anyway, people working there are nice (e.g. Silvia) and try to make you feel welcome. Further, the tour is informative (even though I would love videos from inside the factory). Of course there are usually lots of children, but for heaven's sake, it's a chocolate factory! Whoever complains about kids should go to a senior's bingo evening instead of a chocolate factory. Will definitely go again next time I have visitors :-)

Endlich mal ein Club der nicht nur Mainstream Mukke spielt. Verschiedene Konzerte auch aus dem Metal Bereich finden wir einfach Klasse.

easily reached from Basel or Zurich, Wildegg offers furnished rooms from the 15th through the 19th centuries. The variety and beauty of the many wood-burning stoves for heating, covered in decorated tiles, are remarkable. Weapons including booty from the defeat of Suleiman the Magnificent before Vienna in 1683 are impressive. Tasteful bouquets of flowers as well as gourds testify to the loving care of its management. The grounds are still actively farmed, including a vineyard. Wonderful!

Einziger Minuspunkt.

Amazing the collection of traditional art (mainly paintings) and new, modern paintings and sculpture.

Эта церковь была построена недавно, на церковь не совсем похожа. Не привычных сводов и колонн, одну из стен занимает огромный витраж. Мне было тут неуютно

I check a few stores weekly. On special occasions there are superb additional discounts. Check the Newsletter or the Homepage for current discounts. However, some places offer stuff that is still way cheaper at online shops.

We have seen many museums around the world (see other reviews), we liked the the museum made us part of the exhibition, interactive, integrative and thought provoking. Great pleasure. Exhibition was "Geld" (money).
As we understand German we did not care about the language setting, I bet it was German, French and English
