While resorts continue to spring up, "Zihua" remains determined to maintain its small-town flavor. The brick-paved "fisherman's walk," a nod to the region's seafaring roots, stretches along the town center. Because the nightlife is mostly informal, Zihua is particularly appealing to couples and those seeking an escape from coastal party towns.

Hello!!! We are Zihua Adventures !!! Feel the Magic of moving with the Wind! On board the Oceana II and with the force of the wind we will navigate the beautiful coasts of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo enjoying its wonderful landscapes and incredible colors. The Pacific Ocean has different species of marine life: turtles, dolphins, manta rays and whales will be some of the animals we can observe. We will anchor in an area with calm and crystalline waters where we can get into the sea and then serve the delicious food on board the boat enjoying the incredible sunset. We will sail, look for marine life, swim in calm waters, eat on the boat, we will have a magical and fun experience that you will never forget.

With almost two miles of sand, this beach is ideal for long walks, jogging or soaking up rays.
like vast, it stretches for miles and miles and can you say uncrowded, oh my goodness, not a soul in sight and even if there were, there's more than enough room for all so picturesque, the sparkly ocean at its side, with mountains and hills its backdrop remarkably unspoilt in its pristine coastal location its golden fine sands make it perfect for walking and running (just don't cross it in the afternoon!) with great caution advised - the crashing waves at its shoreline demand respect make it spectacular and magnificent all the same the perfect place to lose yourself and just breathe grateful to experience such wondrous beauty!!

Seaside promenade featuring outdoor eateries and beautiful cobblestone streets.
This superb waterfront walkway runs from Playa Principal to Playa Madiera. The City has done a complete rebuild, and it is now complete! Smooth surface, benches, rest spots, solar powered lighting ... just a real asset!

Cast off from Zihuatanejo Bay to the beautiful, secluded white sand beach and coral reef of Playa Manzanillo. Snorkeling, swimming and beach combing are the orders of the day. Set sail and keep watch for whales (in season), dolphin, sea turtles and mantra rays. Party back to the bay with a magnificent spinnaker run and anchor in front of Playa La Ropa for a ride on our 2400' spinnaker (wind permitting!). Open bar and lunch are provided.

Explore! Beautiful scenery and people. We’ve yet to have a bad meal. The sunsets are gorgeous! If you stay at the Thompson or further left you’ll see better sunsets or plan dinner early enough to watch it from many Ana omg restaurants! Beach is clean.

We took a relaxing and interesting private motorboat tour of the lagoon and mangroves of Barra de Potosi, where we observed cormorants, pelicans, egrets, frigates, ahingas. The crocodiles eluded us, however.
