Tromsø Arctic Reindeer Experience is a complete Sami Reindeer experience carried out by traditional Sami Reindeer Herders within a 30 minute drive of Tromsø. We offer a number of packages but with all you will be hosted by Reindeer herders who will show and teach you about Reindeer herding and Sami culture. We have thousands of reindeer in the mountains and a herd of around 200 Reindeer at the camp so you are guaranteed to experience the joy of being close to these wonderful creatures, the feeling of coming into a warm lavvu (Sami tent) and the sounds of the traditional joik (Sami singing). This includes thermal dresses, warm boots, mittens, hats and hand-/toewarmers for northernlights tours. For Fjord tours we want you to be warm as well, so our thermal dresses will surely keep you warm enough during our beautiful tour! (but please take your warm boots with you). Included in our price are also the pictures we make for you to remember this unique arctic experience! After each tour we will send you the pictures to your emailadress, up to maximum 5 pictures per guest. Hi! We are Espen & Delphine, two passionate professional dog-mushers with more than 25 years of experience. Our pack of 35 Alaskan huskies is part of our family, and dog-welfare is our Nr 1 focus. Our small kennel is located 2h drive from Tromsø. We offer authentic & tailor-made dogsledding trips for small groups only (6 persons max), to give the best possible insight. With us, discover the life on a small-scale kennel in an authentic way! Drive your sled through snowy forests, with a beautiful view on the majestic mountains. Family-friendly excursions (the kids join since they are 2), no previous experience required. We get very good snow conditions and Northern Lights in our area, since we are away from the maritime climate.
