Zia Park Equestrian Centre

Zia Park offers group and private trail rides every day of the week. We have a large property where visitors are likely to see wild kangaroos and other wildlife on the ride. All rides are escorted by experienced staff, children and adults are catered for as well as beginner or experienced riders. Our horses are chosen for their temperaments and are very well cared for. We also offer riding lessons to riders of all levels.

I just visited the equestrian park this afternoon with my friends. We all are adult beginner riders, and for me personally, it has been several years since I ride a horse for leisure. Zia Park Centre staff has been very accommodating and informative since the beginning. They explained in detail in the emails about things we need to prepare and how to reach the place via GPS. We arrived about the right time to prepare for the equipment and papers. And then finally we met our horses. They were so handsome and beautiful, well taken care of, and they felt safe to us. We rode for about one hour around the 140-ish hectares land. Watching the birds and wallabies wandering through the eucalyptus trees. The group leader was very friendly and careful, we felt really safe with her. After the ride finished, we took a group picture and returned back the equipment. The other staff were caring for the horses immediately. Overall it was a really good experience, will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and safe horse riding experience. Thank you so much for providing the adult beginner horse riding group! :)

All Saints Anglican Church held its first service in 1841, making it the first permanent church in the Swan River Colony, which was founded in 1829. It stands on a small hill overlooking the Swan River, where Captain James Stirling surveyed the area in 1827 when he was exploring the area. This sturdy building hosts services on Sunday and other Anglican holidays.

Caversham Wildlife Park

Reviewed By bcripps1 - Cheltenham, United Kingdom

My wife and I visited Caversham as part of a day tour around the Perth area. As it was an organised tour, we experienced several supervised encounters as part of our visit. Perhaps the best was the time spent in the large kangaroo enclosure, with a a great number of very friendly and relaxed kangaroos, who we were able to feed. Our visit also included other animal encounters, including koalas and a farming presentation. Caversham is a beautiful, spacious, well laid out and maintained park with well cared for animals in spacious, natural enclosures. We only had about two hours here, but could easily have spent at least half a day to thoroughly explore and enjoy this beautiful park. Don't rush your visit - allow plenty of time!

Whiteman Park

Located on the doorstep of the Swan Valley, Whiteman Park is one of the largest metropolitan recreation and conservation parks in the world. Covering nearly 4,000 hectares, the Park is a place to enjoy life’s simple pleasures – walking or cycling on peaceful bush paths, playing with the kids or simply delighting in the calmness of our unspoilt natural heritage… There’s a lot to see and do including a visit to Caversham Wildlife Park, Motor Museum, Tractor Museum and Revolutions Transport Museum. There’s also Vintage bus, train and tram rides, playgrounds, barbeques and shady picnic areas – you could spend a day there and not see it all!

We saw plenty of woylies and quendas. Kids loved it. Best for kids older than 5 as they have to stay reasonably quite for the walk. Would have been good to see some other species like in Drayandra woodland nocturnal walk. Otherwise, fantastic and close to Perth.

Incredible opportunity to view classic cars from many different eras & areas of the world. There is a lot to see and things are well spread out. We spent 90 minutes there but could easily have been there for 3 hours. Each car tells a story. We might have benefitted from a guided tour if those had been available but really enjoyed it nonetheless. If you know any gearheads take them here!

If you've ever been to Whitman's park and you see people riding along in those orange carts..well it's from here, Pedal Play in Whitman's Park. The service here is Outstanding!!! So friendly, polite, helpful and happy!! Hats off to the young lad working with his Dad, pulling in the karts, getting them ready and giving you a run down on how it works etc amazing! Need more kids like him! We hired the Clipper which was a 2 seater with Shade cover. It was so much fun, even the little one could steer it!! We were given a map (approx 3kms) to follow as well to really go through Whitman's Park which was fantastic. Legs got an awesome work out lol. For us it was $40/hr with $100 bond, which you get back once cart is returned. Upon returning the kart, the Manager also offered a small token due to it being Aus Day, a can of Beer. How amazing is that!!! #aussiespirit All in all, fantastic little joint to visit and if you plan on visiting Whitman's Park, Pedal Play should def be on your to do list!!! Get behind and support small businesses! Thanks for making our day guys!! See you again soon ???????????????????? ** Faces blurred in the pics as I forgot to ask for permission**
