100% would recommend to anyone staying in and around Sunny Beach. A mere 1.30 Lev each way on the bus from the top of the strip its a beautiful and chilled day out. Excellent place for souvenir shopping - lots of art, pottery, jewellery etc. Easily the best food within a 10 mile radius of Sunny Beach, especially down at the sea front where you can couple fantastic food with breathtaking views. There is a lot of history, most places you have to pay to enter the ruins and accompanying museums but there are some free ruins to visit and they provide great photo opportunities. The Eco Bar is a great novelty cocktail bar, definitely worth a visit for its unique atmosphere.

Quirky little Cave style bar. Ice cream alcoholic shakes! Perfecto. Friendly service. No food but that's a refreshing change for simplicity as its a nice place to get out the sun.

We had all the time in the world to walk around and explore the ruins of the church of St Sophia, taking our pictures and enjoying the feel of the old architecture of this magical building from the 5th century. Just as we were finished and sat down for a cup of morning coffee the busses with tourists arrived, but they didn't stay long. I'm guessing their guided tour had them scheduled for another site within just a short period of time. Our luck. We could just sit there, listening to the morning sounds as the old town of Nessebar awoke.

Not very well signposted but is very large in area. We happened to spot the tower which looks over the site while walking around the coast pathway. Being the exploring types we wandered over and found the ruins which we had to research about when we got home. Not very much (or any) information around while there but no entry fee so if you happen to come across it feel free to take a look.
