Jabal Moussa is an incredible place: a diverse biosphere reserve, a beautiful expanse in which one can clear one's mind and contemplate existence, an amazing outdoor gym, an al fresco museum of Lebanese history. And all of this a short drive from Beirut (even if it feels as if you have traveled light years away). It has really saved our family from going insane in these corona times, but would have been a welcome weekend retreat in any year. The staff is also incredible, picking you up if you want to hike from one entrance to another, offering helpful advice, and even video calls for the few times we got confused mid-trails (it is extremely well-signed and difficult to get lost!). There are trails for all levels, from the novice to the more advanced. We did all 15 of them and each one offered new surprises. I can't recommend this place enough.

MACAM, Lebanon's first Modern And Contemporary Art Museum shows sculpture & installation art by 80 artists in a factory compound on a hilltop near Byblos overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Its permanent exhibition is an exciting journey through 100 years of sculpture. Temporary exhibitions, competitions and workshops attract many visitors on weekends enjoying the serenity of this inspiring place.

A father promised St Charbel to build a statue for him if he cures his son and when the miracle happened the father fulfilled his promise and placed the statue on the highest point of Faraiya. So besides the beautiful hills, the amazing views from the top, the fresh clean crisp air, the place has a very spiritual feel with peace and calm taking over your feelings regardless of your religion and believes. Road is a bit windy at the end but local drivers seem to be OK with it and know how to maneuver around the bends.

Magnificent underground caverns can be explored by boat and on foot.
We were complete surprised by the wonder and magic of this place, it is a spectacular natural wonder and I would highly recommend a visit. The entry price os USD 12 is more than worth it for a walk through the upper level and a mystical boat ride through the lower level. More people should be taking about this stunning natural wonder.

We passed by this holy place after Paragliding Club Thermique. It's just 3 minutes away by car. We actually flew above it with pilot Elie Mansour and he suggested that we pass by to visit this amazing place. And glad we did :)
