This temple is believed to be the original seat or moolasthanam, of Lord Ananthapadmanabha, also the deity of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple of Thiruvananthapuram. The lake which is about two acres wide is consistently nourished with spring water.  Right corner of the temple, there is a cave, and popular belief is that, the deity proceeded to Thiruvananthapuram, through this cave. Bekal Beach

Reviewed By 755brijesh - Ahmedabad, India

First time ever I have hated a beach though I am beach lover. The people here says this is rough beach, this is not like a common Goan beach it’s waves are very rough where people can easily fall down and waves can easily catch them. When I was there I have seen many people going to edge of the beach and they fall down, they have a beach staff who can save us but still it’s not possible that every time they will be there. It’s A nice place for photo shoot for couples and family. It’s also accessible from private property of The taj bekal resort & spa. I request all the travellers to not go far in the beach it would be very dangerous for them. Make sure you don’t miss sunrise & sunset here. You could also request Taj resort to provide you a photographer for photo shoot, because they give photographers on a reasonable price.
