Crasqui

Crasky was the first island inhabited by permanent fishermen in the archipelago, on a long barrier with an equally long but sandy beach on the leeward side. Sometimes it is really annoying to get to its beaches when there are small overflows, leave only one landing point, it is beautiful when its waters are calm, in what were the fishermen's ranches and with their modernized ancestors, they offer food services, camp and rent of cayak. At the tip, there is a path that goes to a small bay where you can snorkel. - Great place for Fly Fishing & Kitesurfing.

Coche Beach

Located along an extensive sandy tongue at the northwestern tip of Coche Island - which together with the islands of Margarita and Cubagua make up the Nueva Esparta State. Coche Beach or Playa La Punta is by far the most famous and popular beach of this kind in the Americas - arid and beautiful. Its waters are clear and without waves of intense blue with splendid turquoise tones. Its sands white and very soft to the touch, are constantly swept by the trade winds of the northeast which blow all year round the island considerably reducing the sensation of heat. It is a world famous place for kitesurfing and windsurfing + Fun. There are kitesurf and windsurf schools. You can rent jet skis, four-wheel motorcycles, kayaks and bicycles. But above all in Playa La Punta and throughout the island of Coche you will find a very kind type of people.

Isla Cubagua

Reviewed By Sanvilla888

I visited Cubagua Island in February 2012, taking a boat from Isla margarita. You can't get there on your own, so we booked the day excursion and had a great time. The organizers are in charge of everything so you don't need to worry about anything. Delicious food and entertainment are provided on board and they also take photos you could buy at the end of the day. We were told about the history of the island during the trip. Did you know it was the exact place where Christopher Columbus landed? Yes, nor did we. Once on the island, you can go snorkeling, swimming or just go for a walk along the beach. You can have a mud bath, supposedly a fine skin treatment... We still don't know if it is true but we had a good laugh doing it. The island is a quiet place which is being kept unspoiled, so there are some precarious houses for the few groundkeepers. You can't buy anything there, so check that you take everything you may need. Since it was winter there at that time, the water was rather cold to swim in; and the coast was covered in seaweed. It was an amazing experience; so if you are planning to visit Isla Margarita this is definitely one of the activities you mustn't miss.
