Our bear watching hides are located in the most beautiful area of Transylvania, 17 km from Gyergyoszentmiklos. Bear watching begins at 15:30 every afternoon and lasts 2-3 hours, but at the request of our clients we can stay longer.W e transport our visitors right to the base of the bear watching hide, because the safety of our clients is important to us. This is why I would like to warn you to use only bear watching hides which can be approached safely, not ON FOOT, but by CLOSED VEHICLES. At our wildlife watching hides, we provide WiFi connectivity, telephones, cameras, camera charging facilities, and we also provide professional cameras, professional video recorders and tripods, laptops, as needed. During the winter our bear watching hides can be heated.Bear hides have been designed as a last resort, in order to keep the bears out in their natural habitat. In addition, we arrange accommodation and meals in hotels, guest houses or cottages, and organize tours across Transylvania.

The Ivo Wild Life Park is home to different species of wild animals such as muflons, wild boar, red, fallow and roe deer. The more than 320 hectares (1,24 Square Miles) park is settled amongst rolling hills and river valleys at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains. The park is kept in it's natural state. We are proud that Transylvania remains one of the few, truly wild landscapes left in Europe. With the exception of minimal fencing and access roads, the natural landscape, flora and fauna are left undisturbed. The tours in the park take approximately two hours and are supervised by our experimented guides, who can offer valuable information about the species living in this region of Transylvania. Please contact us in advance before your visit.
We rode through the park on Icelandic horses, saw deer, wild boar, great views. It is a large area so combining your visit with a hack may be a good idea. You can ask the staff at Icelandic horse riding , they manage both places.

I have long wanted to reach St. Anne's Lake. A place of special beauty, the only volcanic lake in Romania, located near the resort Tusnad. The shape of the lake resembles the palette of a painter, and the water of the lake is of a very high purity, close to distilled water. People also come on pilgrimage and pray at the stone chapel, it is said that St. Anne helps young people to find their mate.

Wish I had more time to spend there and admire the canyon and be better equipped for that place so we can walk on foot for awhile, not just stop then continue. We travel East to West in the middle of the day. If you like sunrise or sunset you should try to be there for those, I'm sure it will be spectacular. .

The Cistercian Abbey of Carta is placed in the Carta village. It can be easily reached from DN1 (Braşov - Sibiu) by following the indicators. The abbey is unique in Romania and the easternmost one in Europe. It was built around 1220 by Cistercian monks. You can visit the monastery ruins, which represent a really peaceful place. Between the old walls of the original church there is a small cemetery of German soldiers from the First World War. The choir from the original monastery is now transformed in a small but very nice church. In the nearby of the ruins there is a museum, an info point and a restaurant with good food and prices. Carta Cistercian Abbey is a must-see place when you visit Transylvania or Sibiu area.
