This past October we held our daughter’s wedding and reception at Oak Hollow Farm, I have to say this was one of the most Beautiful weddings I have seen, many guests commented on how “Magical” or it was a real life Fairytale wedding. I highly recommend Oak Hollow for a wedding or any event. We worked with Marva Dean and she was so accommodating and helpful throughout the process. The parents, bride & groom all live out of state and she made this so easy with her suggestions and quick responses. They were married outside at the tunnel of trees, it was Breathtaking, we used the benches for our guests and three-piece wood door system at the entrance, along with an arbor. The flowers on the Arbor were stunning, thanks to Belle Bouquet Florist. The reception was inside the barn. Our talented friend Marilyn brought in table decorations and C & A Rent put up draping which made the atmosphere perfect. They definitely know what they are doing. Appetizers were served while the Amazing photographer Kayla Steade who had taken beautiful photo’s inside and all over the beautiful grounds throughout the day finished up family shots. The dinner was perfect and delicious, the catfish was outstanding. We received so many comments on how delicious the food was. The dance floor was perfect most all the guests love to dance and with our DJ Tres Wiggins, playing the best music, there was always someone on the dance floor, most of the time it was packed. The cake was exactly what our daughter envisioned and was not only pretty but also delicious, a Big Thank you to Couture Cakes. I have to say when my daughter asked my thoughts on a videographer, I told her most people watch their wedding video a time or two and then again on their anniversary for a few years (mind you videos were not what they are now when I married). I am so Happy she chose Written in Film, Josh and Tori were wonderful and the video they produced is just Spectacular. I could watch it again and again. I was a bit concerned about the “cabins” we rented at Oak Hollow Farm for the bride, bridal party & groomsmen to get ready or just hang out in until the ceremony. I really was only concerned with one of the cabins as I thought it needed to be decorated to look more “bridal” like, I felt it needed more lighting. I had purchased huge make up mirrors, lots of white draping, lights, strands of lights etc., things to make it look a little brighter and festive for a wedding. My husband and I arrived to see if we could get in one of the cabins to decorate and make some changes ourselves before the day of the wedding. Marva Dean basically said come with me, I have something to show you. Much to our surprise they worked tirelessly the week before our daughter’s wedding and transformed one of the cabins into a small Bridal suite. It was beyond what we could have accomplished and perfect. It no longer looked like a cabin at all. There were no beds, it was painted, shiplap was installed, mirrors on the wall, there was a long wooden counter, stools, a full-length mirror, a tin ceiling, wedding decorations, etc. They created a bridal suite. I almost cried I was so grateful. Our daughter was equally surprised and thrilled. Marva Dean helped us to execute the most perfect day for our daughter and son in law. The staff was spectacular with the service they provided. We were able to relax and truly enjoy the wedding and reception. Thank you to Marva Dean and the staff at Oak Hollow Farm for making our daughter’s wedding a success and a day to remember forever.

Fairhope Escape Rooms is the first of its kind on the Eastern Shore. Dedicated exclusively to life in Fairhope, our rooms are locally designed. First, our Pirate Treasure room will provide you with a trip "on board" the pirate ship Night Bandit. Rather than trying to escape, your task will be to find the hidden treasure before other marauders arrive to steal it away! Alternately, you may wish to visit all the tourist sites in Fairhope in our Follies room. You will see a year's worth of adventures - in just one hour!

There is plenty of room to run around and shade. There is a very fun (and high) climbing play set with multiple routes up and slides down. To top it all off there is also a splash pad.

A government protected wildlife reserve.
We have been here several times and enjoy the rather short walk, on a boardwalk, through a low marshy bog. If you go here in February there will be no Pitcher Plants but you will see last seasons skeletons. Towards the middle to end of March things start to happen if the weather is warm. April should be a great time to visit. We saw Orchids, White Pitcher Plants and Pink ones too by 28 March. I would call this a must see bog and takes 30 minutes unless you want to tarry. The juncture of CR17/US98 to the west and up over the bridge leads you to a bigger Weeks Bay Reserve area. This could keep you occupied for hours. We call this a must see area. Jesse's in Magnolia Springs and Papa Daves's BBQ on 98 are good places to try.

The bayfront centerpiece of the town features duck ponds, a fountain and an award-winning rose garden.
I just stopped by for the sunset. The park and surrounding area was really nice and well kept, especially since it was only a few weeks after hurricane Sally. There were plenty of places to find a quiet spot or seat to relax.

Nice museum. Interesting and well presented. Also free! The ladies there were knowledgeable and very nice. The jail part made for some fun pics. Bought some stuff at gift shop. Booklet on civil war and Baldwin county was only $5. Worth going to.

What an interesting house! When built it was, I imagine, in the middle of nowhere. Now, it is right next to an office building. Just visualizing a man building this by hand and living in it, well, it is amazing. Be sure to read the book, The Poet of Tolstoy Park, by Sonny Brewer, after your visit.
