A Railway Adventure in Eastbourne. Travel behind the famous one-eighth scale miniature locomotives as they meander for nearly a mile around the beautiful country park. Enjoy a pleasant stroll around the five-acre lake where nature and wildlife may be seen in their natural habitats. Relax in the prize-winning tea gardens with a beverage, lunch or Cream Tea from the railway style cafe. Picnic areas, model railways and the Railway Gift Shop. Also for the children is an adventure playground to help "let off steam".
Visited yesterday with my 10-year-old daughter and had a great time! Very reasonably priced, with two pricing bands (one ride or unlimited rides) and there is lots to do! Great play areas, friendly staff, a lovely walk through the woods and round the lake, a maze, ornamental gardens and, of course, the steam train rides! We were there for approx 4.5 hours. The story of how the family who own it set the park up from just a field and a dream is inspirational too, I even bought the book! Highly recommended for families!

We walked from East Dean to Birling gap and then walked along to Beachy Head from there. Beautiful views of the cliffs and the National Trust centre at Birling was a good stop for cafe and toilets, plus dog-friendly.The volunteer from South Africa was incredibly helpful and even offered us a lift if we couldn't walk anymore!

Saw this yesterday and it is absolutely fantastic this year. Martyn and Tucker are sparking off each other once again and the baddie Steven Ferlin is superb. There was some excellent singing during the show and particularly impressive was Martyn’s heartfelt performance of Charlie Chaplins “Smile” is just beautiful and Steven Ferlins rendition of Bad Guy was delivered with rock star panache with just a hint of panto, just perfect. The whole cast are outstanding and Tuckers comedy talent shines from start to finish with loads of laugh out loud moments. He is great with the kids at the end and so funny.

The oldest Theatre in Eastbourne with the longest running Summer Season! Providing entertainment for all ages and encouraging local youth and amateur theatre groups to use the premises, alongside the big stars who now visit regularly. A wonderful hidden gem in the town, currently undergoing refurbishment and renovation to return it to its former glory.
We went to see the brilliantly funny and talented Ceri Dupree. Beautiful little theatre with comfortable seats and the staff very welcoming. Highlight of a bit of a lacklustre weekend. We had a great night Thankyou

This museum is on one of the many sites of the old Eastbourne Lifeboat, which now operates out of Eastbourne Harbour. It is free to enter It is rather small but has many photo's charts and artifacts to keep you interested for a while between those promenade walks. Has many gifts to sell in order to raise money for RNLI causes.

Situated at the Eastern end of the seafront. It is an old and pleasant park, and has much of what you would want from such a place, A lake, cafe, putting golf course, childrens playground, open green spaces, and bowling greens. For football fans its also the home of Eastbourne United. For couples, families or singles, it's a nice relaxing way to spend a sunday afternoon walking or having a picnic. Oh and if you remember to take some bread the ducks and swans on the lake will thank you very much. The cafe, and putting greens are closed owing to the virus so I cannot comment on the prices

This is a lovely beach at the far end of Eastbourne. There is a steep path winding from the main road down to the promenade which is a lot easier on the way down! We visited in September and were lucky to have the tide out to reveal sand and some rock pools. Groynes mark out bays and we had one all to ourselves. The water was clean and so was the beach (this may be due to the gentleman we saw litter-picking). A bonus is the toilets, especially with young children. They were basic but clean and very welcome! There is also a cafe at the end of the promenade, although we didn't visit on this occasion, we have previously and would certainly do so again. We spent a wonderful afternoon, jumping waves, crab hunting and eating a picnic surrounded by white cliffs and traditional chalet beach houses. A very British beach!
