Extraordinary displays of WA's famous wild flowers, tree scapes, lawn gardens, fountains, magnificent views of Perth and the waterways, cafes & recreational areas for families & children, historic sites and the magnificent State war memorial. Magnificent and symbolic memorial to the 645 crew members of HMAS Sydney II who are still on patrol. The memorial is among the best war memorial that we have seen anywhere we have visited over the years with the Wall of Remembrance, the Sanctuary, the Stele, the Pool of Remembrance and, perhaps the most poignant, the Waiting Woman Sculpture looking eternally to the sea for the return of her sailor. There were a lot of visitors, both young and adult, yet there was silence as if everybody recognised that they stood in a special place.

Beautiful place to visit, swim and snorkel for all ages. An easy walk from car park and short easy walk to Elephant Rocks, both very worth seeing.

This beach is incredible It has lovely white sand and you can walk out on the sand bar There are beautiful local fish that are rather inquisitive and if you’re lucky you might see a sea turtle Definitely worth the drive

Very instructive and educational visit, lots of references on the history of WA gold rush, you can watch a live gold pour, touch a gold bullion, see some of the most beautiful gold nuggets I´ve ever seen on display. Nice visit and appropriate duration and calibrated content.

We popped by this afternoon on impulse - despite no notice the staff were happy to help us out with a distillery tour, which was entertaining and informative, particularlywhen it came to discussing ingredients used and the challenges of distilling in Australia vs other countries. Food was lovely (the scones are absolutely delicious!), and the quality of the spirits on offer excellent - the Turkish delight liqueur in particular i can easily see needing a repeat order. The surroundings are great - this is not an operation where quality has been skimped on at all, and it's extremely picturesque. Staff were all helpful and cheerful - my father and I had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to our next trip when we can spend more than a couple of hours here!
