The 10 Best Things to do Good for Couples in Vail, Colorado (CO)

November 21, 2021 Weston Hennigan

North America's biggest and most popular ski resort, Vail is an alpine village in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Long a favorite of serious skiers and jet setting celebrities, Vail now also draws a younger, hipper snowboarding crowd. Skiing is king at Vail Mountain and the Blue Sky Basin, but the area's vast splendor is perfect for hiking, biking, snowmobiling or scenery-gazing at any time of the year.

We had a great ride meandering through Vail and riding along the creek. We were able to hop off for a cup of coffee at Yeti's in the Village.

Gerald Ford Amphitheater

We went to see some local bands, as well as some from the West Coast. Very earthy and eclectic. The bands were great and the audience looked like all of the hippies that were at Woodstock, some obviously aged by 50 years, while others in a timeless bubble. The child of the children of the Love Children. Long, flower-print dresses, worn, baggie jeans, big, floppy hats, long hair and a palpable mellowness about them. This venue hosts many different events. We happened to pick a really good one. Generally speaking, the acoustics were great, the seats pretty comfortable, plenty of concession stands, and every seat, including the ones in the grass, had a great view.
