My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a couples massage at Shibui over the weekend. This was not our first visit to Shibui, all of our visits have been great but, I gotta say, this last visit was exceptional! Jackie was my masseuse and she was amazing, the best massage I have ever experienced. She found my pressure points and worked my muscles until they gave in :) I will recommend her for our next visit!

We have vacationed in the Sisters area a couple times over the recent years and included this hike on our itineraries. Our friends actually hired a limosine the first time we went there as we were all on bicycles and without cars. We went back this summer because it's close to Sisters, it's an easy hike for a rest day off the bike and the scenery and falls are beautiful.

We started at Three Creeks Trail and went counter clockwise on the Broken Top Loop trail, so I suppose we only came down Tam McArthur Rim Trail as opposed to doing it as an out-and-back, but it was a nice walk and I wouldn't say too difficult. There is some scree hiking--if you choose the west side--(the other side was more of a hard-packed trail), but even then it was okay. The views along the way are nice, but the views from the top are stunning; definitely try to make it to the top if you can! You can park at Three Creeks Lake and easily find the trailhead, and from there, the path is easy to follow (minus the one section where you have a choice to take, mentioned above). It's worth it as well to check out No Name Lake, which you'll see from the top if you make it that far. This trail is fairly exposed, so be sure to wear sunscreen and a hat. Not buggy at all in mid-August. It's a beautiful place to hike.

An interesting trail to 2 wonderfully beautiful waterfalls. It says it is only 1 1/4 mile trail but after you are sure you have gone more than that, you all of a sudden find a waterfall. The trail could be rough for some people but an average person should be able to get within sight of the falls. We climbed down to the bottom of the lower falls and found it rather interesting getting back to the main trail. A very beautiful area.

Chose this for our anniversary dinner. Was not our first time here. Waitress extremely nice & accommodating. Food good, although I wish there were more choices, limited menu. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return.

I purchased the anniversary package at Hop in The Spa in Sisters, Oregon. It is the first hop spa in the US. When we arrived we met Mike, the owner, who was cheery and couldn't wait to tell us about the spa and the hops. We were offered a craft beer or barrel-aged whiskey made by the local company Deschutes Brewery. Mike explained the roots of how the Hop in The Spa came to be, the benefits of the hops we were going to soak in, and his new venture with Larid coffee products. It was very interesting and we were excited to soak. While we sipped on our delicious drinks he provided a charcuterie board to munch on. We then proceeded to the best park, the hops soak! We had a private room with 2 gorgeous cedar tubs. You have the option to wear a bathing suit or birthday suit. Considering the various sizes of the hops we opted for a bathing suit. The water was perfect at 101 degrees and it was interesting, but it maintained its heat for 90 minutes while we soaked. During that time Mike offered us drinks, food, and music. It was the most relaxing spa soak I have experienced and I have been to many spas. The hops were soft and spongy and the oils they released help with inflammation, muscle aches, and tension. That night we both slept like babies and my partner's leg pain completely dissipated. After we were done, we wore robs out to the front areas and were treated to Laird coffee and hot chocolate. We even got to watch some football and surfing reels. Hop in the Spa was an amazing experience and right in our backyard. I can't wait to try it again.
