Perched at the Triple Frontier, where Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina meet, Puerto Iguazu is linked to Brazil by the Tancredo Neves bridge. It is home to the Museum of Images of the Jungle, the Mborore Museum, a bird rehabilitation center and the famed Iguazu National Park. The National Park is home to 275 waterfalls, including the world-renowned Iguazu Falls, which plunges 270 feet. A subtropical climate means it's warm in winter and hot in summer, with temperatures soaring up to 104°F.

This wonder of nature permits the observation of one of the most unique landscapes in the World; constituted by the upper Iguazu River and the Subtropical Forest, which frame the incredible Devil's Throat balcony. Three ring-shaped balconies permit a special view of the colossal “throat”, the culmination of the journey: a giant horseshoe-shaped waterfall 150 meters / 492 feet long, and 80 meters / 262 feet high. Here the water falls with such potency that it creates dense clouds of vapor as it pours into the river below. From here you can experience such wonderful sensations, offering you amazing and unforgettable moments:- Just listening to the roar of the waterfalls - Feeling the vapor of waterfalls- Appreciating the rainbows that form amongst the clouds of water and rays of the sun - Admiring the contrasts of colors between the green forest and the blue sky, or the white color of the water foam and the red soil. - A separate spectacle is offered by the “vencejos” - birds unique to the Iguazu Falls that swoop down along the falls, as if they wanted to be confused with the curtains of water. This fabulous place is located 2080 m / 1 mile from the Devil's Station. You arrive by the Ecological Jungle Train, 5 km / 3miles from the Central Station. The Iguazu National Park Waterfalls Area has assorted activities. Along the upper and lower walkways you will be able to admire between 160 and 275 falls, the Devil's Throat being the most impressive one.
Fabulous experience, feel the water spray, get up close with the waterfall at Devil's throat, walk the upper walkways to get there, fabulous photo opportunities.

Due to the good reviews, my wife and me from Austria (both already 60+) made the decision already months in advance, to contact TaxiTour Iguazu (Katiane and Javier) to support us during our stay in Puerto Iguazu during 10 days in November 2019 - and it was really great for us that they have agreed immediately to support our first visit in Iguazu. From the day of our arrival until our departure, Katiane was available around the clock for all our wishes and demands - as taxi driver from and to the airport Foz De Iguazu, - to bring us more times to the "Cataratas" in Brasil and Argentina, - to attend us for visiting Salto Del Monday in Paraguay and shopping in Ciudad Del Este, - planning different tours within Itaipu Bionacional, - organizing a visitation of Jasy Pora (one of Guarani communities), - selecting top-restaurants, - and, and, and... Beside Katiane's warmth, we've appreciated her punctuality, her save driving and the perfect management of our border crossing between the three countries - we have had more than 20 entry- and exit- formality, without her management nearly impossible... Allthough Katiane speaks only few English words and vice versa for us, Portugues and Spain is foreign too, we have had together a great communication. If something was understandable and / or not explainable, Javier in the background was supporting us permanent by using GOOGLE-Translator, really a big experience... At the end of our stay, all four have built up among each other a trusting, harmonised relation so that our goodbye was really difficult. Thank you Katiane and Javier for the wunderful time together with you, our trust in you exceeded by far our expectations - Mirli and Didi

80% of the park is in Argentina, and one can see the most part of the waterfalls very closely, sometime right on top (or at the bottom) of them. There are 3 paths. The most beautiful (and crowded) is Devil´s Throat day that one reaches with the internal train from the park entrance. The other paths are the Upper and the Lower Trail, all beautiful. Each one requires 1.5/2 hour walk, but quite easy and almost all flat. If you go in summer prepare for 35c and 90% humidity, so bring plenty of water and use light clothes. You will most likely get wet at the Devil´s Throat due to the vapor clouds above the waterfalls. There are monkeys and birds easy to spot. Prepare for long queue at the entrance, but worth it. Inside there are bars.

If you love nature, you must put Ig Falls on your bucket list. It was on mine and I was more than pleased. One of the seven natural wonders of the world and most people haven't heard of it. A little hard to get to but not bad from either Buenos Aires or Rio. You need 2 days to do it justice. One from the Brazilian side and one from the Argentinian side. The zodiac boat ride up the rapids and into the falls is a must. Yes you will get soaked, but that's the point. If you do the helicopter ride, opt for the short version. The longer version is not worth the money. Look into hiring a local guide that speaks good english and can get you front of the line entrance to the falls. The lines can be very long. Best to arrive at 8AM at the latest.

Wasn't expecting much before visiting as all the advertisements in the hotels are for the Bird Park in Foz de Iguazu in Brazil. Guira Oga pleasantly surprised us and was great to see some of the wildlife that would be hard to spot most of the time. This is NOT a Zoo , but a rehabilitation center for the animals which have been bred in captivity and will be released in the wild once they are ready hanks to the conservation efforts by the people who work here. So your entrance fee of 400 ARS goes towards this cause. From the entrance, a tractor takes you to the start of the walk which is about 10 minutes away. You get to see beautiful parrots , Tucans, Eagles, Vultures etc. In addition several animals including crocodiles and leopards. A great place to spend a few hours in Puerto Iguazu after you hectic day at the Falls.
