Reaching Kaupinoja sauna by public transport proofed to be a bit tricky, but after almost getting lost in the small strip of forest with its labyrinth of little paths that lies between the bus stop and the sauna, I finally made it there. Directly situated at the lake and faraway from the city centre of Tampere, this is a very nice, quiet sauna that offers a more 'authentic' experience, as it seems to be mostly Finns that visit it. Though the sauna was almost full the evening I was there, and there was a private sauna party ongoing in the adjacent part of the building, the atmosphere was very relaxing and calm. There are separate changing rooms (with lockers) and showers (with clear lake water) for men and women, but as there is only one sauna for both sexes swimwear is required, so be prepared to bring some. Both the sauna and the swim in the lake were fantastic, and one can also take a break by just sitting outside, or buying a sausage for the barbecue that's standing on the terrace. If you are keen for a more rustic sauna experience with a gorgeous lake almost to yourself (also a great place to watch the sunset if you are visiting in the evening), then this is definitely your spot.

Getaway Tampere offers real life room escape games where players are locked in the room and they have 60 minutes to solve different kind of problems and tasks to escape the room. Can you solve the mysteries in our room and Getaway?
We’ve managed to escape from the newest addition to their escape rooms – the Teatterin Tähti. There was four of us and a good range of fun and challenging riddles to solve in 90 minutes. Besides that, the room (interior, story, etc.) was exceptionally well executed and staff friendly and professional. Highly recommend the experience. ????????

What is an escape room? You experience the story, work towards the same goal, listen to each other, be a team, have different ideas, solve the mystery and the puzzles together, and have fun while doing it.
A must try escape room in Tampere. We were there 6h ago and we cannot stop talking about how awesome it was. The room's ambiance was awesome. The decoration was beautiful. The puzzles were great. The story is very well made up, so inmersive that I felt goose bumps many many times (and believe me, I am not superstitious at all). Every clue available in Finnish and English (what was one of our requirements since we were all foreigns). No need of physical skills kno jumping, no hard pushing or pulling, no going through narrow places). We also had a great time talking to our "Guardian Angel", who is one of the two master minds behind this escape room and who runs the business with his wife. Since we were beginners (and very curious) he was telling us everything about this room and many others in Tampere, Helsinki and all around Europe. Our group of 5 managed to escape in 55min (5 min before the time was over). Looking forward to your next room!!!

Tullin Sauna is a urban public Sauna with a bistro serving local food – a unique concept in the middle of the town. The traditional Finnish Sauna experience is created in an old industrial building. You can enjoy the "löyly" (steam) in two handcrafted wooden saunas, build from 100 years old logs, creating an authentic atmosphere. Relaxing and cooling down can be done outside on the loading deck. Tullin Sauna is located just 600 meters from railway station, right next to Tampere Hall and Moomin Museum.

The Vapriikki is amazing. You can find all kind of museums here. The Stone Museum, Media Museum Rupriikki , Puppet Museum , Pirkanmaa Provincial Museum , Postal Museum , Finnish Ice Hockey Museum , Finnish Game Museum and Tampere Museum of Natural History. Vapriikki is named after the Swedish word fabrik. The Museum Center is located in the former workshop of the Tampella Mill, the oldest parts of which were built in the 1880s. Half of the total area of 14,000 square meters in Vapriiki is reserved for exhibitions and public spaces. I’m a history freak, so the most interesting for me was the exhibition “Tampere 1918”, which tells about the bloody battle between the Whites and the Reds during the Finnish Civil War 1918. Perspectives are offered by the fighters on both sides, but civilians and onlookers are not overlooked either. The exhibition presents a large cross-section of society at war, from children and old people to workers and factory managers. The Vapriikki was selected as the Museum of the Century at the Centennial Cultural Gala held in October 2017 as part of Finland's 100th anniversary program.

Awesome view from the tower!!! The café downstairs is very good with nice coffee and hot chocolate and the best munkki in the whole Finland! (You can find many different things to drink and eat as well) Besides, Pyynikki has nice places to visit around, like pyynikin uimaranta (beach), the theater etc. Definitely must visit this place!

In the magnificent milieu, Art museum Gösta shows contemporary art, masters of the Golden age and interesting wood architecture. Also sculpture park and island. Restaurant Gösta at the museum serves pure tastes. Serlachius bus: Tampere - Mänttä - Tampere direct to the museums.
A kind of a hidden gem - you wouldnt expect such a small place house such a rich collection. Given ties to industrial history and papermills, its safe to say this museum is much better funded and curated than most museums in relatively remote small villages. You can catch samples from Finnish masters (like Gallen-Kallela, Edefelt and Schjerfbeck) and also contemporary art in more frequently changing exhibitions. Beautifull location is a bonus. You should also see their other museum, i think one ticket gives you entrance to both. Sadly we were short on time, so we had to do with just this little piece of magic.
