An amazing variety of plants in a beautiful setting, and home to red foot tortoises, water turtles and birds
We visited today and were enchanted with the variety and beauty of this garden. The guide is a plant lover and knows a lot about every plant growing on the site. If you love tropicals this is your place. The views are spectacular. What a great way to spend a couple of hours- this has to be seen if you enjoy gardening.

Memorabilia spanning 300 yrs of Grenada's history. A historians delight. Guided tours by the owners are given. Just 25 mins from Grand Anse. The Tower Estate worth the visit, a surprising treat. We also offer Sunday Brunches, Afternoon Teas and venue rentals. We offer the traditional English Afternoon Tea and also our unique blends of floral teas made from organically grown plants on the estate. Call or email for a reservation.
We spent a lovely afternoon at the Tower Estate, first touring the beautiful gardens with flowers and fruit trees -- avocado, mango, carambola -- and then the historic great house with lots of memorabilia from World Wars 1 and 2. Old photographs of the several generations of family. Very personal tour and interesting anecdotes by a family member. We also enjoyed afternoon tea on the veranda, a very pretty setting with cucumber sandwiches, chocolate and carrot cake muffins, and cake. The blue butterfly pea flower tea was tasty and pretty. If you are looking for a way to spend an afternoon that is not the typical beach holiday, this is a marvelous way to do it.

Beautiful half-mile crescent with calm water that makes for excellent swimming.
Known locally as BBC Beach, this is a great spot to stretch out and relax. Lounge chairs in sun or shade were available for rent for about five bucks. The water was very calm and clear for swimming but not good for snorkeling. Restrooms and a local bar right there, near Sur La Mar hotel. Natives selling clothes and jewelry but they don’t intrude. Only problem: a booze cruise boat came and unloaded a crowd, but they only stayed for about an hour. Windstar was docked in the harbor at Saint Georges so we had to take a $25 taxi ride to and from the beach, which is the same price to go to any of the other beaches. I understand that some of the cruise ships dock in a different area near the water taxi which is much less expensive. We stopped to see Grand Anse and didn’t like it, no charm, just big. It’s all in what you’re looking for. If what you want is a quiet relaxing beautiful beach with more locals than tourists,,?you’re at the right spot.

An informal 10-room country house next to a tranquil, Atlantic-side beach.
Loved this beach. There is also a restaurant, bar and rooms here. Beach is public. Nice soft sand, clear water, good and safe swimming. Nice to walk beach. On far end is a pond where birds can be seen. Unfortunately it is being destroyed. A hotel will be built there. Now they are bulldozing all the land and trees and plants around and will fill in pond-so these birds will be displaced. What a tragedy! Very, very sad! Not to mention the erosion and how this will affect the water quality of the beach. I hope more of Grenada does not succumb to this.
