When I stopped by, only had time to buy a bottle, so didn't get to sample anything. Also it was during the pandemic, so tasting was done outside in a nice trailer/bar. Once inside, quickly looked through the gift shop and settled on a bottle of Contradiction bourbon....very tasty! The staff were very nice and I only wish I'd had time to take the tour. Next time!

The Greenbrier Falconry

Reviewed By 457sheilas - Dumfries, United States

My husband and I spent a wonderful relaxing week at the Homestead Resort. It was the highlight of the trip to experience the falconry. My husband is absolutely fascinated by birds of prey. He's always got an eye to the sky for eagles and hawks. We call him "the bird man". Linda was fabulous. Her love and respect for her birds was clear. She gave an over view of the birds she had that day ( an eagle owl, Harris hawk and a lanner falcon). She answered every question we had and then we took a walk while the Harris hawk flew over head. It was such a treat! At the end, we each got to have the hawk land on our gloved hand !!! She also had the hawk fly between and around us. A once in a lifetime experience for us !! We would definitely do this again and encourage anyone staying to enjoy the falconry.

Carnegie Hall, Inc. was established in 1983 as a regional, not-for-profit arts and education center to serve Southern West Virginia. The historic, Greek-revival structure houses an auditorium, studios for painting, weaving, pottery and dance; three art galleries; kitchen; administrative offices; and several other rooms used for meeting spaces, classrooms, lectures, receptions, and gatherings of all kinds.

We were passing through Lewisburg in August, and my husband (who always buys the local paper) noticed that The Vienna Boys Choir would be coming in October. We bought tickets for only $38 per person, and returned for this amazing performance. The facility itself is a large, beautiful, old structure housing not only the theatre, but also a museum and lots of classrooms. On your first visit, arrive early to explore and read the rich history. The theatre itself is small by big city standards, with seating for 420 people. I like the size because every seat is a good one. BTW, We had occasion to phone twice, and both times a live person readily answered the line, and helped us. Thank you to the good people of Lewisburg who support the arts of this “cool” community with their money and their time

We see the signs when driving through the area every year but never stopped before. I’m so glad we decided to stop and see Organ Cave. Friendly, informative guide. Very interesting and educational tour. We did the one hour tour. They offer longer tours, we will probably go back for one. Wear comfortable shoes with traction.
