This is a must visit winery when in the area and locals should join their club! The facility and property are inviting and beautiful. They have wine tastings (of course), a gift shop, take out lunch, a sandy beach and amazing staff. They do everything right. Ignore any negative reviews about their tasting experience or arriving on a busy day. This is a well run family business that creates a very inviting experience with knowledgeable staff. Yes you might catch a busy day but that's life. I live two hours away and joined their club because Sprucewood Shores makes great wine and delivers an assortment of wines 4 times a year to members. You don't pay a high monthly or annual fee...you just pay for the wine they send you...and they offer free wine tastings to members and their guests. My girlfriend and I enjoy our visits and we thank Tanya, Dave, Melanie and Robin for making each visit warm and welcoming. Oh and btw they have been rated one of Canada's top 10 wineries.

An escape that makes you feel like you have gone to a whole new world - we felt we had gone to Europe. We enjoyed a delicious pizza, the 2 Goats wine and gelato. It doesn't get any better on a sunny day in Essex. Staff is fun, friendly and so pleasant. Thank you.

The Colin Estate Winery is a beautiful location for a stop on your wine tour. The tasting room is large and roomy and the hosts most accommodating. Here you can taste up to 4 complimentary wines for free and they do make some great wines here. In addition to their nice array of whites and reds they do make the Girls Night Out line of wines with less alcohol and a much fruitier taste. For me the crisp whites are well priced and quite tasty and it is a good place to stop at on a wine tour or just out and about in Essex County.

Vineyard, Estate Winery and wine shop, located on the banks of Lake Erie. Producer of critically acclaimed and award winning wines since opening in 2002.
We didn't get to actually tour the winery but were gifted a bottle from our cottage host and it was down the road from where we were staying. The wine was very good and what we saw of the winery it was beautiful and small. Definitely had a cozy feel to it

North 42 Degrees welcomes you to discover our passion for wine making, the natural beauty of our surroundings and our warm hospitality in our new tasting room and restaurant, Bistro 42. As third generation farmers from European heritage, wine and food flows deep within our ancestral roots. We have now brought our heritage and passion together at North 42 Degrees where we cultivate the finest grapes and transform bountiful fruit into wine while our culinary team marries classic dishes and transforms them into a fusion in a setting overlooking the lake and vineyards.
My partner and I recently visited this wonderful winery for dinner. She had the short rib and I had the gnocchi, The cabernet sauvignon (reserve 2016) was well worth the price. Our server Paige was lovely, we had an opportunity to speak with the Manager who was very gracious. The service was top notch. My partner and I both work in the wine industry in another region and were very impressed by the wines, atmosphere and service. Would highly recommend a visit when in the area.

We've been to Viewpointe many times. We went in July for the "Oh Canada!" Practically Hip concert. All the bands were great. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Ticket price of $15 included a glass of wine; more wine and food was available for purchase, and it was all very good. The setting on Lake Erie can't be beat. We'll definitely return for events like this in the future.
