Here’s your day in Calistoga: Yoga. Massage. Spa lunch. Hike. Wine-tasting. Facial. Mud bath. Gourmet dinner (with more wine). Dip in a mineral pool. Does it get more relaxing than a spa town built around natural springs in the middle of wine country? We don't think so.

This is our favorite winery of all time after going to so many different ones over the years. We normally went to a few each time we came to Sonoma/Napa area, but over the last three times, we just came straight to Vincent Arroyo and ONLY here. Other than the most obvious reason why we keep coming back (BEST petite sirah in the WORLD), this winery has the most happy, genuine, friendly, and generous staff. I think we were with Jeffrey twice and he was brilliant. This last time we were with David, and he was absolutely pure joy and amazing!! He was so generous with his time and explanation (and the generous pour!!). We had the most wonderful & pleasant conversation with him about wine and wine making for a very long time. We were very grateful for the time and knowledge (and fun stories) he shared. We highly recommend this place. Forget about all other ‘more famous’ wineries and just come straight here!! :-)

My wife and I came to this winery on October 25th. Pam was our guide and took good care of us. The wines are good, the location is totally unpretentious, the wines are certainly reasonable (especially for Napa County) and attitude of Pam was so welcoming. Nice to go to a non-corp winery.

Hans Fahden Winery is absolutely gorgeous with their Monet Gardens and hillside site. Their tasting room includes a relaxing, beautiful cave. Their wines are outstanding! Staff is friendly and not typical Napa.

I’m a local and enjoy this wine more than any other in the Valley. The smell and taste are what personify Napa at it’s finest. You get it very easily from this wine. It’s not hard to coax from it. Some you air out or let mature. This one is right away no guessing. Every time. Every bottle. I find myself totally immersed ,with a little chocolate, in what is so fantastic about living in the Napa Valley.

Established in 1895. Larkmead is a truly historic vineyard, dating back to the 1880s, and has been owned by members of the Solari family since 1948. One of the very finest vineyards in Napa Valley, Larkmead's 120 acres are primarily planted to Cabernet but also Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc and a small block of 100 year-old Tocai Friulano vines. In addition to crafting its own 100% Napa Valley Estate wines, Larkmead also grows and sells top quality fruit to select premium Napa Valley wineries.

As a family-owned Winery, Vineyards and Wine Caves; we grow grapes and craft some fantastic wines. Our focus is hand crafting wines from our 32 acre property located in the Northern part of Napa Valley. Our Sauvignon Cabernet & Zinfandel grapes are sourced from our own vineyards, The Bartholomew Family Vineyards are hand farmed using sustainable farming practices. Our property encompasses two AVA’s, the newly formed Calistoga Appellation & Diamond Mountain Appellation. Cheers!!
I found Joseph Cellars on TripAdvisor and wasn’t disappointed. We enjoyed a relaxed, educational, and delicious tasting with our hostess, Janelle. After trying several wines while enjoying the beautiful views, Janelle introduced us to the cave. What a treat! Highly recommend spending some time here.

Highly recommend visiting this winery. Its off the beaten track & north of town of Calistoga. It a blessing since we didn't see crazy crowds, staff was so accommodating & friendly. With covid, they have seating right at the edge of the vineyards with gorgeous views. The tasting menu was better (quantity, quality, price) than at most famous wineries in Napa Valley. The staff followed all covid rules with precision & we felt safe. I used the restroom which was also cleaned after every visit & kept very clean and tidy. Highly recommend for a cozy afternoon in the valley

Davis has become a regular winery of ours to visit when we are heading up to Napa for a day. The story of the winery and how it was created is amazing, the staff are incredible, and the wine and food pairings are even better. The location was hit hard as a result of the fires this year (2020), but the main building was thankfully unscathed and remains in tact. And even with COVID, the outdoor dining area allows you to enjoy a socially distances tasting while enjoying the beautiful views. With so many wineries to choose from in Northern California, it can be hard to tell which ones are worth spending your money on, well this is one of them. It is not one of those overly commercialized wineries with staunch and snooty people, these are very down to earth person people, with incredible wine. And if you can get a tasting with a tour, DO IT!

Located in beautiful Napa Valley wine country, Bothe-Napa Valley offers year-round camping for tents, RVs, bikes, walk-ins and now YURTS! Stop in at our Visitor Center in the 1860s Tucker House, and learn about the park's first homestead families - trail maps available. Hikes range from easy, shady strolls in the redwoods to longer hikes up to Coyote Peak with great views of the valley. Or, take a hike on the History Trail past the historic Pioneer Cemetery and on to our sister park, the Bale Grist Mill, where you can take a tour of an operating water powered mill built in 1846 that still grinds grain on the original stones!
Gorgeous trails by running creeks, right off of HWY 29 . Can be easy to miss but so worth the time to take a stroll or a longer hike. The last easter stand of redwoods the forests are a mix of bay, eucalyptus, pine and redwood. great trails, easy to navigate.

Stunning winery well known for excellent hospitality and wines. We were greeted warmly, and given a choice where to sit in their outdoor vineyard area . Diana, our wine host, was fun, excellent, knowledgeable and very personable. The weather was FANTASTIC: 70 degrees and sunny on Feb. 5!!! Jacob, the estate manager also came out and greeted us personally. They have a nice charcuterie plate available too. We will return again! In case you didn't know, the Calistoga "Winter in the Wineries" Passport program has been extended to April, due to the Gov's recent shut down, which is now lifted.
