If anyone is thinking of taking up skateboarding, is a novice or a even pro then I 100% recommend you get yourself down to ATB in Swindonia. Great guys who are open, friendly and knowledgable. They made a returning-to-skating-after-25-years-old- git like me feel very welcome. The park is obviously better than my non existent skills could exploit but no one extracted the urine despite multiple slams. The outside and covered mini ramp has recently had a makeover and the ply is smooth as. It is nice and small and a perfect place to try something new without the risk of seriously damaging yourself (ish, in my case). There is loads of kit you can borrow - wrist guards, elbow and knee pads, helmets and decent full set ups. The shop is has a great array of kit so make sure you bring your wallet! If you are pretty local then it’s also worth signing up for membership as you save 2 squid a session. Finally (if you have read this far - well done you!) the social bbq’s in the summer we’re a bonus. Also my favourite price - gratis! Good work peeps. ????????

I used to ride a lot 30 years ago but am extremely rusty, having not even sat on a horse for a year or two. I had a lesson today and it was brilliant. Everyone at the stables was so friendly and welcoming, and Bethan was extremely encouraging. A well pitched lesson that was great fun. I will be back.

I have done a few of these now at Incarcerated and did the Tortured Soul puzzle room today; really good story line and quite tricky puzzles. Also had genuine scares and a creepy and tense atmosphere! It was a big shame we couldn’t escape but the first puzzle we came across took us a bit of time to understand, but at least we made it to the final puzzle! It is a really great way to spend an evening with friends, I can imagine it would be fun as a team building activity with work colleagues as well. The price has gone up since the first one I did at Incarcerated back in 2016 but then I do think the quality of the room has improved with lights and sounds to add to the whole experience. Great fun and thanks guys for giving me an actual fright which doesn’t often happen!

STEAM - Museum of the Great Western Railway

Reviewed By titanicjoyrider - Bracknell, United Kingdom

This museum is a must for any steam heads or fans of railways and locomotives! Situated in the old GWR works in Swindon, right next to the new outlet shopping centre it is perfectly located for ease of access! The museum is full of exhibits and hands on activities that charts the history of the GWR and the role of Swindon in the railways from inception up to the present day! Information is clearly displayed and presented in an easily digested format that gives you just enough to come away having learned something, but not too much that you loose interest. However, what most people will come for are the static exhibits and trains themselves, of which there are plenty to look at! From small practical tank engines to the more famous crack express trains the museum houses them all in context surrounded by authentic paraphernalia from the period in question! Of particular note are the King Class: George V and City Class: City of Truro (first train to do 100mph) our of which are on loan from the National Railway Museum! Highlights and plus points: Excellent attractions Loads to see and do Family friendly Accessible to all Trains galore Perfect for anyone Near to the shops Negative points: Not enough time in the day to see everything! Overall highly recommended, it’s a must see and do and you will not be disappointed!
