The Tourist Information Office is worth a visit on its own!!! Located in a lovely historic building, you should check it out. The the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. English is limited for some staff but after all we are in Italy!!! They have tried hard; politeness and good will will get you a long way.

I would need a book to describe this mountain, i can just say, go, rent a car or a bike and get lost within the hills, the valleys, the small towns (go to Pretoro), the little trattoria's, the vineyards and the local culture always friendly and welcoming.

It is safe, friendly and welcoming!! Great shops, places to eat. Mercato (or Market day) is on Wednesday and Saturday mornings - must do. If you have limited time go on one of these two mornings.
