I recommend to visit here by online transportation. The area is so spacious. There is a tower than you can visit, it's called Asmaul Husna Tower. The outside mosque was so hot but inside was very fresh, probablye because there are many fans, and many architectures was made from woods. The toilet area was big and clean. There is an area to keep our shoes

In April 1949, the Dutch established several cemeteries throughout Indonesia where the reburial of the remains from mass graves in Indonesia found place. The Dutch Foundation for War Burials maintains these cemeteries. Kalibanteng in Semarang is one of them.
This place is so beautiful, and being a graveyard it is ironically peaceful. The pool/ water surrounding the park gives a cool feeling in the middle of very hot Semarang city. Big old banyan trees at the entrance look so strong and cooling too. Like any other Dutch graveyard in Indonesia this is one is also very clean and well kept. It is a must visit for tourists too. No charge on entry, however people are expected to keep noise down and respect that the place is not a scenic place for group photos etc. Keep the place clean and do not litter. I think you may feed the fish in the huge pond but with appropriate fish food. Go and learn about the different shapes of the grave tombs.

Visiting Semarang is not going to be completed if you haven’t visit this temple. Sam Po Kong temple is the oldest Chinese temple in Semarang. This temple is not solely for Buddhist or Tao, but rather functions as a place of worship for people of various ethnicities and religious groups. This temple is painted with a magnificent red color and crowned with a triple-layered pagoda-style roof, typical of East Asian culture. Really beautiful... It’s worth to make a visit at least once when you’re around.

Umbul Sidomukti is an excellent family activity to spend half a day from Semarang. There are 2 sets of hanging plank walks, a hanging bicycle ride, high netted walk (more like a crawl), ATV and flying fox. My kids are 7 and 5, took part in all the activities and totally enjoyed themselves. The compound has a Rp13,000 entrance fee and best of all, all the adventure activities are included in a Rp120,000 package, a real steal! While I was initially skeptical, safety standards and practices are good and adhered to. Entry also includes the use of a few (crowded) pools. There are also eateries inside and just outside the park entrance. To get here, you will need to drive or rent a car. You can ask around Semarang, as we did when we engaged a Grab ride, for a return ride including waiting time. The whole place should take you about half a leisurely day.
