Yesterday we went out on the Haven star catamaran with skipper Dave to celebrate two birthdays - 14th and 16th. As two families we were able to celebrate together on this lovely boat! We packed lunch, met Dave on the quay and headed off to Studland to moor up. The sun came out and it was great to see everyone enjoying the paddleboards and swimming for a few hours. We can’t wait to go again next year and would thoroughly recommend! Thanks to all the team for such a great day out.

We've just returned from a fabulous vineyard tour and wine tasting. Went with some friends from our local wine society - socially distanced of course - and Sarah and Andrew were so interesting, knowledgeable and entertaining. Plus the wine tasting with food to match was just superb.

At Poole Museum discover the colourful history of this ancient port town and its people, and learn about the amazing environment of Poole Harbour, on four floors of art, archaeology and social history. The recently extended and re-displayed museum (all year, except Mons in Winter)has a terrace with stunning harbour views, and activities for all. Medieval Scaplen's Court Museum is open Aug and its tranquil herb garden May - Sept afternoons. ALL FREE.
Very interesting visit to this museum on a rainy day. Entry is free but donations are welcome - they even have a nifty contactless donation point. It was a very rainy day in the town and this offered shelter and some lovely displays on local life, from home life to industry, trade, and wildlife. Some lovely interactive displays, including a pirate story and the magnetic tiles.

Owned by the National Trust, Brownsea Island is dramatically located in Poole Harbour, with spectacular views across to the Purbeck Hills. Thriving natural habitats - including woodland, heathland and a lagoon - create a unique haven for wildlife, such as the rare red squirrel and a wide variety of birds, including dunlin, kingfishers, common and sandwich terns and oystercatchers. The Outdoor Centre invites you to come and follow in the footsteps of Lord Baden-Powell and the very first Scouts who camped here in 1907. Scout and Guide Groups can camp and get stuck in with activities such as archery and low ropes and we also offer Eco Adventure Camping as an opportunity for the general public to come and experience the great outdoors. The perfect day's adventure - this island wildlife sanctuary is easy to get to but feels like another world from the moment you step ashore.
Excellent visit to a hidden gem on the South coast after a pleasant boat trip the island was a good p!ace to walk and explore with a good place to see rare red squirrels with peasants peacocks and wild deer good views on a clear day.
