For my wife's birthday, I brought her to Lift Lock Escape with her family. We chose the outdoor Escape Adventure and were so glad we did! It was a fantastic experience! We received a great refresher course on the history of Peterborough as we solved various clues. We noted sites here in our hometown that we had not ever noticed previously despite having lived here for most of our lives. The route was varied, the length of it just enough. The puzzles themselves were difficult to challenge us, yet not so difficult that we thought of giving up. The creator of this Escape Room was very friendly, incredibly helpful, even providing reading glasses (we had forgotten ours) and a mask as well as one of our family members had forgotten theirs. We all highly recommend Lift Lock Escape as a fun, adventurous inexpensive and fulfilling way to spend an afternoon.

Love this museum, the historic kayaks and canoes from across the North and across the indigenous tribes, plus the history of exploration of Canada. Beautiful recreational canoes and the volunteers can tell you fascinating stories of how the museum was given some of their artifacts. This museum is unique and well worth a visit!

We drove here as something to do during Covid 19 pandemic. Parking is easy, well marked and plentiful. Grounds are very well maintained and there are benches as well as picnic tables. We brought a picnic lunch with us and had a great lunch watching the boats and boaters glide by. The lock system is definitely one to observe and is whisper quiet and fascinating. We will make sure to come again as it was very easy, comfortable and interesting.

Great time out. My daughter booked this for my birthday outing. Even tho there was snow on the ground, and the weather was chilly, we had a blast. We did the Gold Rush maze, and found it just hard enough, and easy enough, that my grandson could help with the puzzles. Our family had a mid afternoon booking and we finished just as the sun was going down which for me added to the adventure. Would definitely recommend for a family day out, or a birthday with the kids. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and a pleasure to chat with. Be sure to dress for the weather and woods tho. We plan on heading back up in the new year to try another adventure since this one was so amazing.
