"The Festival Capital of Louisiana," Lake Charles hosts over 75 festivals each year, the most famous being Mardi Gras, the second largest in the state. The annual celebration attracts revelers with Cajun cook-offs, a children's carnival and a lighted boat parade. The city celebrates its local heritage with "Louisiana Pirate Festival," a two week long party in honor of the pirates that once sailed the local lake. The Central School Arts & Humanities Center is a stop on the African American Heritage Trail.

Welcome to the premier martini lounge. Our stunning décor and high energy feel provides our guests with an unsurpassed experience. Enjoy our Tapas food menu. The perfect complement to our fine wine and spirits selection. Blue Martini specializes in birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, as well as after wedding parties.
The staff is so attentive and friendly! They have something going on almost everyday of the week which is perfect for traveling for a few days. Happy hour is 4-7, ladies night on Thursdays, football on Sundays and a live band every night. My friends and I had a blast singing and dancing with all the beautiful women and men ;) that work at this establishment. Not to mention the food was so delicious! Can't wait to come back!

We are an escape room in Lake Charles Louisiana. Guests must solve puzzles, search for clues, use their wits, and try to escape. Rooms are themed and immersive.
If you are like me, you wish Halloween lasted all year long. Well, Grandma's House was the perfect scary, gore-filled adventure that makes for an amazing experience! They really did such a wonderful job with this escape room, and I can't wait to try the other rooms.

Located off of I-10 towards downtown on beautiful Lake Charles, the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau is here to serve visitors as a resource center for the region. Among the opportunities that you can learn about here are the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road and the Southwest Louisiana Boudin Trail. In addition, we have local dining, casino, festival, and outdoor activity guides.
Looking around for some things to do in Lake Charles area; stroll around, use the restrooms; pick up brochures; purchase post cards; take photos of some of the alligators and outside topiary figures. Spent almost 2 hrs. Highly recommend.

Microbrewery Located in the heel of the boot. Crying Eagle Produced a wide range of inhouse brews, displaying 20 beers on tap for you to choose from as well as beertails, beer slushies, wine and cocktails. Get a true taste of Louisiana from the Bistro at Crying Eagle; Small bites, delicious hand rolled pizzas, burgers, and more.
I wrote my master's thesis on adult playfulness, and Crying Eagle is a legit adult PLAYGROUND. There's a gorgeous outdoor stage, lawn games, umbrellas, great atmosphere, and delicious food and brews. I didn't love that you have to pay $1 to sample the beers before you commit, but everything I tried was extremely tasty and I had an absolute blast in the outdoor seating/playing area. Also, I don't go places that aren't dog-friendly if I can help it. Crying Eagle is very dog-friendly.
