One gets an impression of what life was like in a submarine of World War II. A very nice compliment to the Navy Memorial.

The Kiel Regatta takes place in the northern German city of Kiel during the last week of June. It attracts 5,000 sailors on 2,000 ships and yachts with more than 3.5 million visitors per year, making it the world's largest sailing event - it even claims to be the largest summer festival in Europe! There is a large open air music festival, lots of street performers and comedians, an international market and plenty of children's activities, including a children's culture festival.
