There is very little to do in Corbett National Park besides the regulation safaris into the jungle. Kosi river is a good, less frequently visited site, specially near the suspension bridge. One can click pictures of this old style bridge and trek down to the riverside for more pictures on the stones along the river bed. The view is picturesque.

Its is said that if you are lucky enough then TIGER can be seen. Fortunately, we were and saw the Tiger in our first trip. Entered through BIJRANI GATE at 3 pm with our guide Mr. Mahesh and driver Mr. Nazim. Both were well trained with lots of Park story. Around 4 pm our guide noticed the footprint of tiger and as per him it is fresh. This incident filled a Thrill in ourselves. Following the footprint for about 10 min, we witnessed the most amazing seen - A Tiger resting just beside the road unaware of our presence. Earlier we saw the Tiger in Zoo but here no fence between us and it was as near as 7-9 meter only. After some time, Tiger starts walking on the road and we just followed her for few meters. Our guide informed about female tiger. Apart from Tiger, we saw a number of Monkey, Deer and Red Junglefowl. We tried to locate Elephant but effort was unsuccessful. Jungle is really cool with fresh air, smelling awesome and few times noticed "Pin Drop Silence". Roads are as usual rough and only a skilled driver can drive here. Well, it was a memorable Safari in Jim Corbett National Park. Trip duration - 3 hour Few things, wanna add here - Book your safari in advance. In the rainy season, park is closed for safari, so plan accordingly. Please carry your original ID card, they will check at the entry point. Don't litter in the jungle. Please follow the instruction of your guide. Jungle has its own rule so please don't try to be over smart. DO NOT STEP DOWN AT ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
