PLEASE NOTE: The Vulcan XH558 Engine Ground-Run Experience and The Vulcan XH558 Airside Tour are pre-booked visits only. Contact for current availability.
Absolutely fantastic airside tour seeing the XH558 Vulcan in all her beauty! Me and my partner stayed at the Ramada hotel across the road from the airport where we met the crew in the reception after breakfast for the briefing. Cannot fault the friendly staff!! After tea and biscuits, we boarded a comfortable warm coach and set off to the aircraft. Whilst there we were able to freely roam, take lots of pictures, go inside the cockpit, see the bomb-bay doors open and were surrounded by lots of friendly staff who were full of interesting information and facts about the aircraft! 10/10 cannot fault a single thing with the experience. Me & Steve are even going to look into coming to one of the taxi run days in the near future ???? would highly recommend!!!

Hi and Welcome to NIXIM Motorsim Ever wondered what it feels like to sit on a start line in a fast powerful sports car?, with all the fast powerful cars around you being driven by friends or family. I can tell you that by the time you get to the start line you have already practiced together and you know the car and the track and the strength of the opposition, it can be pretty intense when the lights go green. We have ten of the best racing simulators available in the UK, all linked together to provide a full on competitive experience in a first class racing environment including Race Control to oversee proceedings. You can race most types of car on a selection of tracks in a safe warm comfortable brand new purpose built facility, where else can children parents, and grandparents race safely together perhaps even with food and drink. A perfect setting for any party or corporate occasion. We recommend a two hour racing session for maximum experience. 90 minutes if all drivers are 11 or under. For your occasion we have 2-3 and 4 hour party packs for up to 20 drivers.

This is the third room we have done now, previously as just two of us and this time as a five. The three rooms we have done are very well thought through and the staff are really friendly. You get two hints if you need them (we did) but the buzz you get when you escape is awesome. Great fun for the family or friends or maybe even a work team building session. Can’t wait to do another room soon.

We visited Brodsworth Hall with friends on Monday 17th September. It was a last minute decision to visit,as the English Heritage leaflet we had did not fully convey the amazing venue that the Hall and gardens turned out to be.In the words of one ofour companions it is one of the BEST home and garden ever visited.A stately home it is not,but what a wonderful example of Victorian and Edwardian life it portrays. The grounds are magnificent, with a great array of rare and interesting trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants, lovingly tended by the very helpful garden team. The house is displayed in an "undressed" state,no fancy frills or dramatic displays.Just a reflection of life of a caring wealthy family and their staff. We ewre there for over six hours, and still didn't have enough time to fully appreciate it all. Will return next time in the area.

I came here with my mum on the 26th August (bank holiday) and when we arrived there was a long queue as you would expect on a bank holiday! They are very organised getting people in! When we got in we went to see the lions first (I brought my camera with me and took lots of pictures of all the animals????) we saw 2 of the 9 lions but I don’t blame them for staying out of the sun! They were so cute! There is a information board telling you about the lions! After this we saw the polar bears and tigers! Then we went to get lunch! We went to ¡Caramba! And we got 2 kids meals I got the chicken nugget meal and my mum got the vegan nugget meal, both were served with potato wedges and a drink of your choice! They were very nice!! After lunch we saw the lemurs, wallaby’s , painted dogs, baboons etc and all of which were adorable!! :) There is lots of things to see and do here and I will definitely be returning and I would recommend to any animal lovers, like myself!!???????? (my photos won’t upload :( so here is the one photo I took on my phone of the camels ???? but they were adorable!)

We are an aviation museum dedicated to preserving and displaying the aviation history of South Yorkshire and other areas. The museum is run by volunteers and is a Registered Charity. The Museum is suitable and interesting for all ages groups and caters for school and others group visits. The site is accessible by wheelchair users and is pram friendly. We encourage people to become members and for them to be able to get involved with the running of a busy museum in all its aspects.
A great museum! There’s always something happening here and something will have changed every time you visit! The museum is never stood still! The Volunteers are excellent, super friendly and always have time to answer questions and explain what they are doing - there were people restoring the Vulcan cockpit when I visited and I was able to get inside for a tour and nothing was too much trouble. Most aircraft museums seem to have a “10 feet” policy - where everything must be 10ft behind a rope, chain or barrier of some kind... Not here though! You can actually get up close with the aircraft and see what makes them work, and on the special Open Cockpit weekends, get inside a lot of them! The museum isn’t just about the aircraft though, there is a large display about the Sheffield blitz and the falklands war which are both excellent. And for the younger visitors, the ‘dressing up’ room certainly will be a hit! Refreshments are available from the shop. There are hot and cold drinks, crisps and sweets and a selection of pastries and pot noodle type meals to choose from. You can take a picnic to eat there as well and there are plenty of picnic tables through the museum to do so. Overall, this is a great museum, which I think would be perfect for a family day out, or even a solo trip if you’re interested in Aircraft. There really is something for everyone.

Nature paths suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs will wind you around a stunning, safe wetland habitat littered with pockets of woodland and wildflower meadows, and a cracking cafe is a great place for you recharge with friends. Hides allow you and your family to get up close and personal with birds such as woodpeckers and kingfishers and during your wander you may also encounter mammals such as roe deer and hedgehogs. The meadows during summer are full of butterflies on the wing in comparison to a snow laden winter where you may be lucky enough to spot our overwintering bitterns - this globally threatened species a real highlight to see for any wildlife watcher. Please note that we close over the Christmas period, check our website for details. We will be open every other day of the year (weather permitting) please see are website for further details. Unfortunately dogs, horses, bike, scooters etc are unfortunately not permitted on site.
Always wanted to see a murmuration of starlings, and when we heard it happened here we couldn't wait to go back to this wonderful nature reserve and see it. As always the welcome was friendly, the food in the new cafe great; especially the thrice cooked chips, which are to die for. But the place is the thing. A lovely view over the first lake, sunset over the huge scrapes with thousands of birds. Birds of prey flying over the murmuration. a range of walks with lots to see. Knowledgeable staff. A very tempting little shop. The lot.
