We offer Richmond's best guided walking tours, based on detailed historical research. Hear about the history of the village, its buildings and people. Our premiere tour is a night tour which reveals some of Richmond's less talked about social history whilst walking around its heritage-listed Georgian buildings at twilight and seeing the famous bridge in the dark. Check the website for new tours.

Craigow Vineyard is a picturesque 11 hectare vineyard at Cambridge in the Coal River Valley. The vineyard was established in 1989 and has already produced a number of Australia's top award winning wines. Current varieties are pinot noir, chardonnay, riesling, and gewurztraminer. The vineyard is part of the historic property of Craigow. An original workmans cottage has been converted into a cellar door outlet for wine tastings and sales; and is open at weekends from September to April as well as at other times by appointment.
Hugh delivered a wonderful cellar door tasting experience. It was extremely friendly, relaxed and personal. The sparkling merlot is on my wish list, but I happily took away a lovely Sav Blanc. Our group of four rated it one of the best cellar door experiences we've had. Thanks Hugh for your time and effort.

Richmond Gaol is the oldest fully intact convict Gaol in Australia. It was built 5 years before Port Arthur. It is rare in that it housed both male and female convicts. The cost is $10 per adult $5 per child and $25 per family. Discount for group bookings on request. Ph03 62602127
At $10 each for adults for this self guided tour, this was an enjoyable and innovative trip. You can stay for a little or as long as you like. Information about the prison is displayed on boards throughout the prison. It’s a small but interesting place to visit.

Puddleduck Vineyard is a family run vineyard in Southern Tasmania. the family welcomes you to taste our beautiful cool climate wines that have been both grown and made onsite at our friendly cellar door, which is open from 10 - 5 daily. We only sell our wines here at Puddleduck so be sure to call in and enjoy a taste and perhaps a snack from our grazing menu,(cheese platters, dips, vineyard platter) or you can "Reverse BYO" (bring your own food to enjoy in our outdoor areas) while enjoying one of our beverages or a wine tasting. We have a wide range of duck items in our "Everything Ducky Duck Shop" where if it looks, walks or sounds like a duck it is most likely for sale! Families are welcome and children kept busy in our playground or feeding the multitude of ducks and guinea fowl while mum and dad enjoy a wine tasting or hot beverage.
We were in Tassie recently and boy hasn't this little 'ole state come a long way!...Called in to Puddleduck on recommendation and certainly well worth it. ALL the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Great wines, great tasting experience and we certainly bought a few. Try the Fume Blanc, I haven't had a white as good as this in a very long time and the last one was a Tassie Riesling. Ver Jus with today water is very good too and something different. Puddleduck has a great little gift shop, not too expensive and a really good brunch menu, plentiful too. Location is really pleasant with a great outlook. Whats more it offers BYO Food, yep you can bring your own picnic, even use their BBQ's and sit under cover if you like by the dam while the kids feed the ducks. All they ask is that you leave your drinks in the car....great idea and we will be back for sure...

Dropped in for a wine tasting, attended to by James who was friendly, informative, with a good sense of humour! We purchased two bottles to take home...Stunning place to sit outside and enjoy the view

We stopped on a wine, gin and whiskey tour at the Wicked Cheese and had a lunch of 4 different local cheeses, of which the Pepper Berry Cheddar and Ash Brie were fabulous. Local fizzy drinks and a good range of biscuits and extras on the board. I had GF biscuits. Staff attentive and friendly and food was great value.

This place offers almost 360 degree of Hobart view. If you are self-driving tourists, it's worth coming by this place. Lots of parking space, and not many people. While Mt Wellington offers you spectacular view from high up, Rosny Hill lookout gives you a more down-to-earth perspective. Suggest to stop by Coles Eastland afterwards to buy some groceries for your trip.
