I had an aunt who began taking me to the original location at 88th & Commercial in Chicago when I was an eight-year old child in Indiana (I'm now 74 Years Old). Their candied chocolates are just that - no goey, white filling like in cheap, boxes of chocolates. Wonderful milk and dark chocolates, candied fruit (cherries, orange peel, pineapple, prunes, etc.). I continue to purchase them for family and friends for holidays or to show my appreciation to those who have helped me or treated me well. I always receive sincere, overwhelming "thank you" messages from those who are recipients of my gifts. The GAYETY'S ice cream sundaes and banana splits are WITHOUT EQUAL ANYWHERE - They have my highest recommendation! /S/ Dr. James M. Rajchel, Ed.D.

The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn's mission is to positively impact a child's potential in life through play-based education. Every program and every exhibit at the Children's Museum is created with the Common Core standards (formerly the Illinois Learning Standards) at their core. These are the same standards that the Illinois Board of Education requires local school districts to use.

Bengtson Pumpkin Farm is the premier fall festival and Pumpkin Patch in the Chicago land area. Established in 1980 the Bengtson family was selling their pumpkin crop to the public from the family farm. Over the past 40 years the farm has come to include one of a kind attractions that have families returning year after year. Our farm has food options that are most easily described as award winning, not your typical festival food. Unlike many other farms and festivals these days Bengtson's admission includes unlimited access to all the rides and activities. One low price for an entire day of fun. There are many options when it comes to pumpkin patches, but Bengtson's is the only choice. Our farm is the highest rated and most reviewed farm you will find. The all new Tractor Town Adventure Ride, all paved walkways so even the newest members of the family can enjoy the farm from the stroller. Bengtson's Pumpkin Farm is an experience like no other.
The past few years we made Bengston Farm our Fall tradition visit. We fell in love right away with all their GREAT halloween decor, kid friendly rides, entertaining pig races, and I cant forget to mention delicious freshly made apple cider donuts (drooling) It's worth every penny. The staff at Bengstin is very friendly and welcoming. I have three young children and they love each segment of the farm. The hay ride is a must, they stop to show you how they launch a pumpkin about a quarter of a mile! Its awesome!! So, if your looking to entertain yourself and the rest of your family, Bengston Farm is a must go! Highly recommend.

I always have fun at Hollywood Park. They have inventive drinks (Butterbeer, Hocus Pocus Witches Brew to name a few), a good selection of games, very good burgers and addictive coated French fries, and cartoons on the tv. What could be better? This is a great place to take little ones (Monday morning best time to go right when they open because no one is there!) This is a great place for post prom parties, first dates, and birthdays. Kids, save those tickets! I have won so many things from the arcade! The 20,000 ticket giant gumball machine, huge boxes of marshmallows, (eventually) ear buds, tons of candy and more! The claw machines are mostly “Play till you win” so WAIT IN FRONT OF THEM BEFORE YOU MOVE ON TO THE NEXT GAME!! Too many people have wasted credits by moving on too quickly. Another inspiring thing about the arcade is that it is mostly run by young women. They are managing the games, Cleaning out the electronics, managing the storefronts, restocking and coordinating everything. It is an inspiration to young girls to see their older counterparts in charge. My only complaint really, is with some of the customers. Many of whom leave much to be desired. There was one woman who was walking around in front of children with her pants down (in public). Another one was screaming at the employees to get their attention “Hey! It’s our turn! We waited in line here first!” At the prize desk. The employees only have four controllers. They are doing everything that they can to help you and fifty other people in line! During Covid 19 One employee who really didn’t like his job of cleaning the gaming consoles, would wander around frowning, and he would keep the napkin that he was using to clean each game in his hand and would halfway clean the joysticks. He would just grab them, pull, and walk away. No hand sanitizer, no cleanser, just yank and leave. The only things that they need to bring back are: the castle in the front of the building. It’s been a landmark since 1997! Better strength in the Mario plush claw machine, the scented s’mores plush, and the It’s Sugar! Giant boxes of candy. Other than that it is a super fun arcade to hang out, grab a Witches Brew and walk out a winner.
