Following the loss of our dog yesterday, we decided (my partner & I) to keep busy. We wanted to stay local and this military Museum was on the to do list. The museum is dog friendly including all the internal rooms which i found welcoming. The museum itself is set across two floors and has a wonderful military war timeline the exhibitions and items on display were of great quality and such a vast array of memorabilia. There is an entire floor of historical military weapons and of medals Including the Victoria Cross of which all the present and on display. I was surprised to find for half term (I have no children so I was not aware!) That the museum was free of charge for entry!! I was a little disappointed at this especially as £6 per person (adult) was such a minimum entrance fee for such a fascinating and beautiful collection in a real Army Barracks. However we did make some donations and purchased a couple of items out of the shop. (However even if the museum only charged £1 per person as a promotion- it was incredibly busy yesterday and they could’ve made little bit of money, anyway I’m not the CEO or business manager!!) I must add, the lady who was working on the entrance/shop was incredibly friendly, heartwarming, informative and very helpful. Randomly, on leaving the museum my dog needed the toilet! I had her deposit in a little bag. I did search the entire external grounds for a bin and couldn’t find one. However on stopping a member of staff they didn’t hesitate to take this bag of doggy deposit from me to dispose of it on my behalf. I found the very grateful and such a nice gesture. They also have an antique shop of books which sells simple refreshments on a honesty box service, I really liked the fact that wonderful drinks and flavours were on offer and not just Pepsi et cetera. We spent several hours throughout the museum however my only tiny tiny criticism would be, ensure there is a notice/sign saying this way to 2nd floor as we completely missed this entrance/staircase and only on returning to the lovely lady she commented on both floors and we realised we had still another floor to visit! Overall, I will absolutely be visiting this museum again. We were due to also visit the town Museum yesterday however spent the entire day simply enjoying, learning and invoking memories of my service time within this museum. It’s a must visit place!!! 10/10.

Find clues, solve puzzles, use logic and work as a team to escape a themed room in 60 minutes! A live, immersive, fully interactive experience for family, friends and colleagues!
It was the first time we have done an Escape Room which my husband booked for our wedding anniversary and although we didn’t manage to escape, we had so much fun. The gentleman who greeted us and explained everything was very friendly and helpful and the puzzles were excellent. If you are in the area or never done an Escape Room before, I would highly recommend it!!!!

At DreadLock Escape Rooms we offer a fun and fully-immersive experience for people of all ages and experience! Work as a team, solve puzzles, find keys, crack codes and escape the room before your time runs out... Great fun for birthdays, hen/stag parties, family days out! We are child friendly, however any under 16s must be accompanied by at least one adult. We have a special 'kids only' puzzle that we add to the room when there are particularly young escape artists on the team (6 and under). We are situated in the heart of Cornwall, close to Bodmin, St Austell and Newquay. Find us on-site at Waterside, just off the A30 - a few minutes from the Cornwall Services. With plenty of other on-site activities, why not make a day of it? FAQs Q. Is the room scary? A. No, not at all. Some escape rooms may have a spooky theme but ours does not Q. Are players actually locked in? A. No, you can leave the room at any point Q. Is the room dark? A. No, it's bright and well lit
Really good fun escape room, we did the Games Room with 5 and 8 year old and they had a lot of fun and were fully involved. It's very child friendly, nice and bright and colourful. We've done lots of escape rooms now and I think this was one of the top two family ones. Great as an all weather activity and fun for an hour on holiday.

The FIRST trampoline park in Cornwall, Our great Cornish park opened in November 2016 making it the first one in Cornwall and is home to many exciting new features. There's plenty to experience with our interactive light games, the energetic activity zone and our new skywalk, where children and their adults can climb steps and rope bridges to jump off a 1.5m high platform on to a giant air bag. And, of course, there will be trampolines – in fact as well as stunt zones, dodgeball, parent and toddler sessions, adult fitness classes, disco nights and a lot more, allowing 60 people to play at any one time for hour-long stints.
Day enjoyed by all. Lots to do and is very fun! Served by a very polite, legend called Simon. Highly recommended????????

My husband and I visited Camel Valley vineyard during our week long tour around Cornwall. The trip was planned around a visit to the vineyard after seeing it reviewed on a TV programme last year, when 5 Celebrities went caravanning. This spurred me into buying a bottle of Camel Valley Rose sparking wine. Well I don't need much encouragement, and certainly wasn't disappointed. This amazing vineyard produces the most amazing English wines, and most certainly rivals any of the best Champagne from France. I'm now converted and will only purchase from Camel Valley. The tour around the winery was very informative and opened our eyes to the work that goes into producing the wines. I've always loved Champagne, however the Camel Valley sparking wine certainly deserves all the awards it has gained and in my view is better than Ruinart champagne. Let's fly the flag for English wine!

Great place to walk/wander/gaze...thoughtfully planned out and signposted with different ways to explore whether walking, in a wheelchair or biking (and even better bikes and walkers separately!) or wandering. Take your own drinks/food though as the cafe is overpriced for what it is, i.e. they think they are an expensive bit of a large city or (and more likely) are holding you hostage so extortionate prices for ok stuff. Big car park but do have to pay for that (and again not cheap....£3 for 2 hours and so on...again like large city prices) and no public transport there...actually whilst I loved it there as I’m typing this getting cross about the prices and that unless you have ££ you can’t access and surely that’s not the objective of Forestry England?

Cornwall's Premier Steam Railway will appeal to all age groups.Join us for a leisurely 13 mile journey through scenic Cornish countryside evocative of a 1950's Branch line.
Cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for the family to celebrate the life of a family member. Hannah and the team welcomed everyone, worked so hard from out steam train trip to the cream tea and drinks. Will try and visit when we are back down that way.
