St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center

Landmark which was once the center of the Sentintellist movement with frescoes modeled after the Sistine Chapel.

Reviewed By maryjoh158

Even though Woonsocket may be a bit off your radar screen, this amazing former church is well worth a special trip. It is covered with beautiful frescoes, glorious stained glass windows from Chartres, France ( think Chartres Cathedral ) and magnificent Carrera marble everywhere. The pulpit in particular is incredible. Additionally, our wonderful tour guide brought St. Anne's alive through not only a wealth of information about the art and its creators but also regaled us with stories of the neighborhood, the parishioners who became models for some of the artwork and how this treasure of a building is being saved. It is so important to support the wonderful people trying so hard to save these often rather hidden away slices of our nation's history with very limited budgets to do so.

Crescent Park Looff Carousel

An 1895 carousel featuring 66 hand-carved figures.

What a great ride. Took us back to our childhood days...senior discounts and the attendants were most helpful to ensure that everyone had a great ride. The carousel horses were sturdy and most beautiful. Outside riders had the chance to snag a brass (plastic) ring.

I just had a great time at Escape Games Worcester with my 11-year-old daughter and five of her friends! We did the Conspiracy Room, which was the perfect level of difficulty for us. The owner was helpful and responded quickly to my questions when I was planning this outing and the staff member today was very helpful and gave us some handy tips. It felt safe and it seemed like extra precautions were taken during Covid19, and we were the only participants at the time so we were able to follow social distancing rules. It was a great experience and my daughter and her friends had so much fun! I definitely recommend doing it!

McCoy Stadium

A popular baseball field (home of the Pawtucket Red Sox) for minor-league games that draws a huge crowd.

Reviewed By JeffreyH21 - Erie, United States

Traveled to Pawtucket to see the Sox play. Despite a 6-3 loss to Syracuse, I had a great time. The stadium is a quaint park, rich with history. The memories are posted around the entire park. Not a bad seat in the house, reasonably priced and ample parking! The people there are very friendly, the staff in the Pro shop are very accommodating. Was great seeing a game in the park that was host to the longest professional game ever played, 33 innings. Stop by the Right Place, just up from the stadium for a great pre-game meal and interesting chat about the Sox (Paw or Bo) the Patriots, Celtics or Bruins!
