I contacted Shandy by whatsapp when I was in hong kong and he provide a affordable price for us. We feel so lucky that we met the best driver Ricky in Bintan. He is a very Kind and helpful guy, driving safety and talking funny. He plan the route for us for sight-seeing and dining, bring us to beautiful blue lake, 500 loha temple and night market, what a unforgetable day tour. I am so appreciated with his services. I highly recommend him to all of you which is planning to go bintan.

Aroma River Spa, a world-class spa with local prices, is located at Mutiara Beach Resort, on Bintan Island's east coast. The spa can be visited either as a day trip out of Singapore, as a half-day excursion from any of the Bintan hotels, or by just walking-in. The spa's natural setting is rather unique, built on stilts in a lush mangrove river, with direct access to its own private white sandy beach. After the treatment, spa guests have the possibility of enjoying a tasty local meal at the open air restaurant and some souvenirs shopping at the spa boutique. Aroma River Spa prefers the Taman Sari natural indonesian products. Two-way land transfers can be arranged upon request. Open every day, 10am till 6pm, advance reservation is recommended.
A tranquil and peaceful spot to unwind form the craziness of urban life. To hear the waves and the crickets outside while lying on a massage table, reminded me of a Singapore of yesteryear. I went there in early February, during the Corvid19 kerfuffle. It felt safe and it completely relaxed my body and spirit. I took the maximum massage of 75 minutes, everyday over the three days I was there. And it was, in a word, wonderful. Competent hands with good quality oils. The treatment room was on stils over a river that slowly flowed into the sea. Simple yet it had everything you need to be comfortable. The only downside is the humidity. But then, where in the tropics isn't it humid? At least at the river spa, you are stripped down to the minimum. After the massage starts, even the humidity won't be a bother. The treatments was decently priced, a great deal less than what you find in Bintan Resorts. What a hidden gem. All in all, more than good value for money. I will be back.

This was one of our highlights on our trip to Asia. Our teens loved it. The people were friendly and beautiful. We took the private boat charter with our taxi driver so he could interpret for us. On the island we did the tuk tuk tour which is a must. It was an adventure as the boat going over seemed quite questionable but it added to the experience. Do not miss this!

The 500 Logan temple is based on Buddha and his biggest follower, the Indian ruler who gave up war, Ashoka. Up on a hill, it showcased great sculptures and idols. There was a big statue of the Hindu god, Vishnu which was wonderful seeing which we were all in awe. There was a full inscribed history of Buddha's story and the problems he faced, what teachings he spread. Reading it was fascinating and informative as I am a big history fan. The statues of the 500 Buddhist spreaders of Ashoka were beautifully made with a lot of detail and spread across the space. There is a Buddhist monastery on the top where a Buddha idol is located. This pace has a very positive aura and the monastery was full of aroma of scentic candles. It was wonderful to see the view from there and if you go to Bintan surely go to this place as it is different from the other places and also spectacular.
