Butler Street

The main street of Saugatuck was named for the town's founder, William Gay Butler.

Reviewed By Companion10862371673 - Cleveland, United States

This is a charming street with cute little shoppes and some places to get treats for the kids! We found a park and playground to entertain our toddler while waiting for a seat at a restaurant, and there are nice public restroom facilities. The street and businesses were so cute and make an outing in Saugatuck even more fun!

Oval Beach

Lake Michigan Beach, popular for its clear water and nice sand.

Reviewed By BoysInNY - Chicago, United States

This is a great beach to watch the sunsets. It’s a small beach as much of the sand is eroding. There are facilities here and lots of parking, which makes it an easy beach to visit.

Bittersweet Ski Resort

Located in the Kalamazoo River Valley, this ski area offers day and night skiing and snowboarding, plus a high-speed detachable quad chair lift.

Reviewed By SkiDave123

I am a ski instructor who teaches at Bittersweet ..... Retired instructor from a different resort just east of Pittsburgh. Bittersweet was a nice find to be able to continue to ski myself and teach. Smaller and less vertical than my Pennsylvania resort, but great without heading 3+ hours further north. Snowmaking capabilities are really good and the lodge is modern and attractive with large window expanses looking at the slopes. There is an outdoor patio that has a heated surface to stay snow/ice free with fire rings and lots of patio tables. Gets very busy on weekends (people aching for an experience during covid). So, must come early if need rental equipment. Weekdays are great. Come out and enjoy !
