The Phang Nga Elephant Park is a small family-run park. Our family has cared for elephants for over 150 years and we opened the park in 2015 so that we could keep our elephants in a caring and stress-free environment and give our visitors an extraordinary and life-enhancing experience. We are dedicated to providing our elephants with the highest quality of life possible and our strong belief in human-elephant interaction is what makes the Phang Nga Elephant Park so special.
This was a truly magical experience. Jake is very caring and shows dedication and compassion with maintaining an ethical elephant sanctuary, that has been with their family for over 150 years. All the staff were very attentive, and Jake had a lot of patience with the hundreds of questions our kids asked, taking the time to answer each one. Being able to experience elephants so close was an absolute highlight of our Thailand holiday. Also great lunch in a fantastic location. Would love to return one day, many thanks to Jake and the team.

Here at Maerim Elephant Sanctuary our mission is to rescue miss-treated elephants and provide them with a beautiful environment where they are safe, loved and cared for. We are 100% against elephant riding, performances, tricks and any method of training or discipline where pain is inflicted to achieve a result. We believe that by sharing our passion with our guests we can all contribute towards providing rescued elephants a beautiful life which they deserve. In supporting our cause you will make memories to treasure as you roam freely with or magnificent elephants. Feed them, bond with them and bath with them. By choosing our sanctuary you will be actively contributing to saving the next gentle giant from a life of slavery. Let us assure you that we are not a money making outfit, we are here because of our passion for elephant. Along this journey you be informed of the realities of caring for elephants and the cruelties they endure before we rescue them.
We visited Chiang Mai over a weekend and decided to add this tour to our agenda since it offered a half day trip. SO glad we did! They are running a good program and are caring for the elephants well. Our host was very knowledgable, witty, and very available for questions when he wasn't presenting. Feeding the elephants was a highlight even though I was initially intimidated by their size. I chose not to "mud" with the elephants and still felt I got my money's worth. Afterwards we enjoyed some leisurely time by the pool and they end the tour with a great little perk...a group cooking class for their local Thai noodle soup Khao Soi - it was delish!

In the Elephant Sanctuary Park you can experience elephants in the most natural way. In their natural environment, where they are free and simply wonderful! It is important to us that you can experience the daily life of the animals. And that you can approach them when feeding or bathing. Briefly: it is a wonderful experience that you will remember for a long time. How much do you want to bet?
It was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Highly recommended to all who want to see how they look after the elephants and they are all such gentle magnificent animals ????????????????????????????????The hosts and people are wonderful!❤️

Phang Nga is famous for spectacular scenery with limestone cliffs rising out of green water. There are caves, lagoons and tiny secluded beaches awaiting discovery.
Phanga Nga Bay is a visual treat for all your senses. A boat trip through the waters to various islands in this Bay is a must do activity. I did a big-boat tour through BJ Canoe agency and they take you to various islands like James Bond island, Hong Island, Panak island etc. Kayaking through the shallow waters of this bay is an memorable experience. Though it's a typical touristy route, it's still a great experience to witness the islands and the magnificent limestone rocks emerging out of the sea.

This is one of Thailand's most popular parks for foreign visitors but at the same time is unspoiled and uncrowded. The national park is home to a number of eco-resorts offering room, food, and tours. The park is includes a large rainforest and exception steep limestone mountains. There are also rivers and waterfalls. Tours include jungle treks, elephant experience, kayaking and tubing on the river. The most popular tour in the area is to the Rajaprapa reservoir, also known as Khao Sok Lake. Here guests can sleep on rafthouses at the edge of the jungle and enjoy kayaking, birdwatching, and hiking in pristine forest. Day trips are also available. In addition to observing numerous tropical birds including majestic hornbills, Asian buffalo and elephants are often seen, and tapirs and other jungle animals more rarely. The area can be reached easily from airports in Phuket (2 hours away) and Surathani airport (1.5 hours away).
If you want adventure, go with a tour through here. We spent two days in different areas of this park, and thoroughly enjoyed the canoe ride up through the river to see wildlife, plus the 1 1/2 days in the National Park, being taken over the lake in a Longtail boat, to amazing acomo on this lake, and some hiking into the waterfall, plus more rides on the Longtail boat to view wildlife. With the tour we took we had an excellent guide - Ot - who looked after us so well. (there were only 3 of us so got full on attention).

These 40 islands, spread over approximately 97 square miles in the Gulf of Thailand, are characterized by hundreds of limestone monoliths, carved into fantastic shapes by years of erosion.
We did a full day trip on a speed boat, it was excellent, the snorkeling was amazing, I would probably would give the emerald lake a miss if climbing ladder-steep steps for 15-20 min is too much, as it was very very hot (it is winter here) but well worth a visit, I am so glad we did it! Massages are cheap enough here that the sore thighs didn’t last long ???? The marine park is a visual wonder above & below the water. Inexperienced people can still snorkel over amazing corals surrounded by brilliantly coloured schools of fish & marine life (not a shark in sight ????). Lunch at one of the the islands restaurants is recommended to see the original lifestyle of the local people, and the huge buffet of food was delicious. The only thing I might change was the length of the tour, we were off at 8am from the pier at big Buddha beach & back at about 5.30pm, it was a long day , but we saw heaps in that time. We even stopped at the rangers island & saw wild monkeys. The crew were lovely, but all heavy smokers, the smell kind of detracted from the pristine snorkeling environment.. The return trip in the speedboat-due to the ocean swell was very rough (I have butt bruises to prove it! ????), but I sat at the front end of the boat so that was caused by my position... All in all it was great fun & definitely worth doing. For those with back issues I would recommend the larger boats for a smoother ride home.

This temple complex not only serves as a religious site for the monks who live and worship there, but also features a maze of natural caves in an overgrown jungle valley where stone tools, pottery remains and the mold for making Buddha footprints have been excavated.
What a physical exercise that ended with stunning views at the top of tiger cave mountain. About 1260 steep steps, equivalent of 300m height or 600m walk, this activity is definitely recommended for those who are looking for strenuous activity in Krabi. Definitely recommend but be ready for sweaty evening. Start at 5pm and be there by 6pm to get a clear sunset view. Carry plenty of water to stay hydrated but you will get filtered cold water tap at the top of the hill. People bring drones as well for a clear sky experience. We thoroughly enjoyed this and would do it again next time we are in Krabi.

Cool unique spot where the mineral deposits on the rocks allow you to climb the waterfall. Long awkward stairway down, a bit of fun work to get up.

the most beautiful beach in koh tao, in my opinion. great snorkeling, turtles and baby sharks, also super quiet (sometimes we were the only opeople in the beach) and very calm and clear waters
