Eslite is a celebrated bookstore that is more than a bookstore. Apart from the Chinese collection, it has a wide range of foreign language books, including English books. It's a multistory venue. Apart from books, there's also a cafe and giftshop. If you feel the need for a good book late at night, don't worry, Eslite is open 24/7. By the way, if you like the look of a book, you can sit down and read it for a while.

Nicely decorated, pub atmosphere Great beers on tap from Sambar. Wonderful dining and snacks options such as Taiwanese chive dumplings, great tasty sausage plate, sandwiches. Definitely worth it.

We took the metro to the Sun Yat Sen station which is just outside the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall. He is widely recognised as the father of modern China and was a physician. Inside the hall you can learn more about his contributions and some history on the founding of modern China. We also watched the changing of the guards in front of his statue inside the hall. The building is designed in the Chinese architecturial style and the grounds outside is big and well kept, like the CKS memorial park.

Fantastic views of the entire city of Taipei and surrounding region including mountains from the indoor observation deck (360 degree panorama, interactive screen displays to highlight key buildings and landmarks, showing views at different times of day and night), along with a more limited outside observation deck (which gives you the opportunity to look up to see the spire at the top of the tower). Also able to view the ‘damper’, a giant metal sphere designed and tuned to counter-balance exterior forces on the skyscraper such as typhoon winds and earthquakes. Really impressive!

The Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) is well organised and easy to get to, the MRT Red line stop is nearby. Considering the large number of meals they serve when there is a big convention, the food is very good. I have attended several dinners there and I was impressed by the food and organisation.

Next to Taipei 101!!! Good for tourist and its most happening place. Best time to go is evening, beautiful! The mall is small size designed for the upscale younger crowd esp the restaurant and clubs.
