Taimao is in Luzhu, a suburb of Taoyuan. I went to the opening of Taimao about 30 years ago, when it was the first full-service luxury shopping centre in Taiwan. I have been to Taimao many times since, and it has continued to improve. Taimao has a good range of shops and eateries. The cinema is quite luxurious. Taimao is still one of Taiwan's top shopping centres.

On our 1st day after arriving from Honolulu(after a Tokyo night layover), we took a taxi ride from the Novotel Taoyuan Airport Hotel to this multi-story shopping mall. Arriving an hour earlier than they open, we walked around the neighborhood and visited a Hi-Life convenience store and had a Chinese Baked Bao. Upon opening at 11am, we entered the Metro Walk Mall and spent 4 hours walking from the basement floor, taking the escalators and elevators up the various floors to see hundreds of shops selling LG appliances, Nike and Timberland clothing, Apple products, H&M merchandise, jewelry, shoes, clothing, Lego, toy shops, and a multitude of dining choices and different foods and pastries. On the top of the mall is the Skywalk and includes a cinema with many movies to view.

We had an amazing experience in Plaza Premium Lounge in Taipei Taoyuan Airport. We actually had a challenge in finding the location at first, due to the airport's layout/lack of map or guide but once we were at the lounge, we were very happy. The ambiance was cosy and quiet, with enough comfy seating for a more relaxed wait for your flight. The food was also better than typical airport options and regularly replenished. There were also varied options for drinks. I really enjoyed the experience and this has inspired me to look into their other airport lounges whenever I am traveling.

We always come here when laying over in Taipei. Great lounge with good food, lots of seats, strong WiFi and showers and sleeping rooms.

Very convenient from airport to Taipei city Can use easy card, for 160 NTD from the airport to Taipei main station Have a telephone charger on the train Have commuter and express train, express is faster than commuter if you want to get to Taipei main station but there are same price
