Erin's fermentation course was the perfect combination of learning and having fun in a great location, with Erin herself being warm and friendly and an excellent teacher. A delicious lunch was provided too.

The Museum in the Park is set in the beautiful grounds of Stratford Park in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Situated in a Grade II listed 17th Century wool merchant’s house; our collection tells the fascinating story of the Stroud District’s rich and diverse history. With over 4,000 objects on display, including dinosaur bones, historical paintings and even one of the world’s first lawnmowers, there is something to spark the interest of all of our visitors! In addition to the main displays in the mansion house, we have our modern extension which houses a small gift shop and café area, alongside a modern, purpose-built art gallery showing a varied programme of exhibitions. Behind this is Stroud’s ‘secret garden’ - a contemporary Walled Garden that will amaze and may well cause you to say 'wow'!
We read about a craft fair being held in Stratford Park so decided to pay them a visit a good job we did as we came across the museum. When we went in it was absolutely magic and as we are in our 60s it brought back a lot of memories, well worth a visit. There is a lift which was very handy as I am partially disabled and struggle with stairs, on certain days there is a pop up cafe in the garden and can be accessed via a gentle winding ramp.

My wife and I ate here last saturday evening. A very good experience. Covid safe , plenty of space between tables , hand sanitiser ,staff wearing visors so we could see their faces. I had crab tagliatelle , it was superb , piping hot and full of flavour . Followed by pork belly again very tasty and melt in your mouth .My wife had pork cheek followed by breast of chicken with confit potato again excellent quality. The service was friendly and no delay between courses. One of the best meals we have had for a long time , no problems recommending the Bell and we look forward to returning soon

Gallery Pangolin is a 'must-see' on any tour of the Cotswolds. Tucked away in the village of Chalford on the slopes of the escarpment is one of Gloucestershire's best-kept secrets. On what was once a Victorian industrial site at the heart of the Golden Valley, Gallery Pangolin is one of the few galleries to specialise in sculpture and related drawings and is open to visitors 6 days a week. We are located on Chalford Industrial Estate on the A419 in between Stroud and Cirencester.

The Prince Albert is a popular pub up in Rodborough, Stroud where good beer, wine, food and music flow. Lotte, Miles and family have created a quirky space. The walls are covered with photos of musical inspirations and valued patrons, the sofas are pink and the walls are green. Dogs are welcome but must get on with resident dogs Fernando and Baxter.
A lovely local pub. Stayed in the area for a week and felt very welcomed by the warm reception from the staff. Treated ourselves to the superb pizzas on our last night there. Delicious. Also nice to have some takeaway local drinks, avoids having to go down (and back up!) the hill to nearest shop and nice to support a local, independent venue that is doing fantastic work for the community and beyond during the time when the hospitality industry feels on a knife edge. Viva la locale! Go here, drink beer.

Intrigue’s products are all personally ethically sourced by Caroline including many fairtrade items. "I believe we should do more of what makes us happy and I hope Intrigue brings a ray of sunshine to the high street offering a very sensory shopping experience!” she said. After a successful few years of Intrigue opening on Stroud's thriving high street, Caroline opened up the doors to Intrigue's sophisticated sister shop - Mosaic. "Style is timeless" is the phrase used to highlight the Italian style clothing which is sold in Mosaic, along with many other high-quality clothing brands and accessories. Caroline is firmly part of Stroud’s independent retail scene. The shops are a riot of colours from clothing sourced ethically from across the world, alongside a plethora of quirky gifts. Due to the challenging times for small, independent retailers across the UK Caroline has found it necessary to now trade online but very much hopes you will be able to visit her Stroud shops.
During the second lockdown it was so lovely to have a personal virtual shop! Their internet had gone down but I’d had a look on the website and decided what I wanted, but also wanted a couple of things that weren’t shown (having been to the shop several times before I knew they would have amethysts and scented candles!) so I sent a text message with my shopping list and the items were selected and I received some photos of the products. A convenient phone appointment later and the items were duly paid for and shipped. I absolutely love the products really carefully wrapped and ready to enjoy!

Rush Skatepark is one of the largest indoor skate parks in the world – offering a unique rider experience – for BMX, Scooter, Skateboards, In-Line/Aggressive Skates. It’s also a family-friendly, family-run, award-winning park (and Community Interest Company). Boasting kick-ass facilities, Rush attracts riders and skaters from all over the world. We look forward to seeing you soon!!
I've been taking my nephew to Rush almost every week since August 2019 and I can't fault the place, from both a passionate observers perspective and from an 11 year old scooter riders point of view. The staff at Rush are fantastic - I haven't met a single member of staff who hasn't been warm, welcoming, friendly and willing to go above and beyond at every opportunity to help my nephew and I out. Everyone is very approachable - they all seem to be there because they love the scene as much as we do. Biggest shout out goes to all the instructing staff though - super passionate people who will do everything they can to try and impart that passion into all their lessons/clubs. In terms of facilities, for me it ticks every box. It's in a warehouse so you'll need a coat in the winter. The shop sells pretty much all all the essentials to keep you scooting if you break anything, and the canteen sells all the essentials to keep a cold parent warm, and a non-hyperactive child topped up with sugary goodness! I cant say I have ever used the toilet facilities but I know they have them. If I was really really pushed to offer suggestions to "make Rush better" it would be to offer more tables with plug socket access so that parents/guardians could use laptops whilst waiting for their kids - but that would be me really struggling for suggestions! Love Rush <3
