I did a 4-week combination program at Coeur de France and I was very impressed with the teaching methodology, diversity of learning opportunities (classroom and social), and warmth and friendliness of the professors and other staff. I am a working adult taking a brief career sabbatical--I decided to invest in my language skills and I am very happy with the improvements I made in both my grammar knowledge of French and my speaking skills. This experience allowed me to meet some incredible people with common interests, as well as learn more about the Loire valley, wine making, French culture and more! I think this is a terrific program for people of all ages and language levels. I am hoping to go back for another few weeks!

Henri Bourgeois

Henri Bourgeois provides several options for trying their wines. We splurged on a private tour, and it did not disappoint. Our guide was charming, and extremely knowledgeable. His English was very good and he worked hard to explain everything to us as clearly as possible. Excellent wines, and a great example of the variety in Sancerre production. I booked the tour before we left the US. Super easy on their website. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity. Can’t wait to find their wines when we return to the states.

Moulin de Pesselieres

Reviewed By tobeyf928 - Portland, United States

Yes, there is delicious Sancerre wine nearby, and yes, great restaurants and sights, BUT this place is not to be missed! It is an authentic mill from centuries ago, operated by a couple dedicated to producing the highest quality oils from nuts of the region. They use a wood fires cooker, one of three operating in France. They sell the oil along with regional products. They are delightful and the oil is uniquely delicious!
