This is a quite small glasshouse by comparison to the others a Kew but still well worth the visit. As the name suggests it houses a large central pond with a path circling it. It is full of fantastic waterlilies, ferns and other associated flora and fauna. The display is enhanced at present by another of the amazing Dale Chihuly glass installations so deserves a visit. Simply stunning!

The Orange Tree Theatre is an award-winning theatre based in Richmond, and a registered charity. It produces new and rediscovered plays in its unique, 180-seat in-the-round space, and tours to venues across the country, serving an audience of 75,000 people a year.
We have visited the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond (London) several times, and each time has been enjoyable and good value. The Audience sits around the sides of the square stage in two tiers, stage level and a level above that, each a double row of seating. In all about ten seats per row per level per side, so it is a very intimate gathering. One corner is the audience entrance/exit and the other three can be used for actor entrances/exits on the stage level. Prices are very reasonable and many of the productions are new presentations of contemporary or classical plays. Pre-play and interval there is a small bar. An excellent alternative to the hustle and bustle of central London theater-land.

Open to all, The National Archives is a place to explore 1,000 years of history - from Shakespeare's will to tweets from Downing Street. This impressive building in Kew is set in beautiful grounds and offers visitors a diverse programme of events, activities, research spaces and a Keeper's Gallery that hosts special exhibitions throughout the year.
Were lucky enough to visit on 1st Sunday in December when visiting Kew Gardens too. Set in beautiful grounds even on a wintry day, looked inviting. Very welcoming staff. Records room not open but lovely coffee shop & seating area. Fabulous shop where I purchased a couple of extra Christmas gifts. Look forward to returning when in London again hopefully when Records Reading room is open.

The Museum of Richmond tells the story of Richmond from prehistory, through its rise in prominence as a royal residence in the medieval period to its modern status as a centre of the arts and fashion. Caring for and giving access to the rich history of Richmond. through our permanent displays, temporary exhibitions, learning and events programme. There is always something new to see and do. Check the website for what's on!
Lots to look at and study in the display cabinets particularly the model of old Richmond Palace. A good outline of the history of Richmond. Also excellent videos of the buildings for anyone interested in architecture. Good , to then try spotting the different buildings and their style of construction while exploring the town and its surroundings. All the displays are well presented and objects chosen with care. A number of the local characters who lived through either of the two World Wars are also made vivid by the recollections of those who knew them. Staff helpful and keen.

A genuine Free House selling real ales brewed by independent breweries, from all over the UK. Farm house ciders for our apple loving friends. We also stock wines which have been selected by the experts at Majestic Wines. So with all bases covered. Its all been wrapped up in and old Victorian coach house which has been tastefully decorated to enhance all of the features. Which most pubs have seen ripped out over the years. The place is a must
A brilliant find! 14 cask pumps, plus a few keg tap etc. make this a beer lovers delight. Lots of character and the type of pub I like, a proper pub! Friendly staff as well (Anna is amazing and works so hard at looking after the customers) I've told my other beer loving mates about this place and I've no doubt that they will pop in too.
