Our cooking school has been hosting food-loving visitors since March 2013, when we first opened our doors to visitors from all over the world. We believe the most delicious dishes are born out quality ingredients and we hope you will taste them with us.
It is always great to find somewhere on holiday where you can try your hand at creating some if the local dishes. It's even better when you know that you are supporting a very important community project as you enjoy the experience. The Bamboo Delight Cooking School provides a high quality service for tourists wanting to do something a bit different on their visit to Inle Lake and also provides a library and summer school for local children, using some of the income from the visitors to support this work. Well done Suu for your vision and commitment to the community you serve....and for helping us to cook delicious food.

Mingalar par from Mr.Min cooking class..thank you very much for your kind interested to my class. for the information : In the morning We come and meet you at your hotel, go to Mingalar market in Nyaung Shwe or five-days market to buy ingredients ..and then we will drive about 15-20 mins to my villages on the lake.have some tea and we will cook about 8-10 dishes from local areas..have lunch and get a recipes book..later we offer you a canoe trip around the floating garden and villages..after all we send you back to town or if you have to go to the lake as you wish.. You can reach me anytime and mails. Best greetings Min
We actually didn’t do the cooking classes, however, friends who had previously visited recommended contacting Min as he offers a lot of other activities around Inle. He organised everything from kayaking, biking, hiking, visiting the local floating village markets, meeting local families for the most amazing traditional lunch, meeting REAL fisherman (not just the fake ones you see in the insta photos). His wife cooked us lunch one of the days also beside the cookery school- which was amazing. He even arranged our airport transfers. He is a local man and his passion for the local area really comes across. More importantly though, his understanding of the fragility of the lake and the environmental impacts climate change is having is really inspiring. I wish him and his wife every success for their business in the future!

We do everyday cooking class. We go to the local market together and shoping. You can see many different things and product in five day market. After we go back the class and prepare for lunch. We will four different kinds of dishes.Spicy or non spicy and vegetarian ect..after we paid repicies for cooking and local ingredients.Don't miss the change, local people are how to cook their kitchen.
If you love cooking, if you want to discover this cuisine, if you enjoy high quality food, if you want to have a lovely time, if you want to meet a charming, sweet, kind and devoted chef, come to this cooking class. For me, taking this class constituted the highlight of my trip in Myanmar, I will do it over and over again.

Lavender 2 Spa & Beauty is our second location of Lavender Spa & Beauty. Both locations are in the town of Nyaungshwe, Inle Lake. We specialize in full-body massage and also offer foot massage, body scrubs, body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures, reflexology, ear candling, hair wash and blow-dry. Our staff have all been professionally trained. For your convenience, we offer complimentary hotel pick-up and drop-off in the Nyaungshwe area. Come and be pampered! We are happy to welcome you.
Visited Lavender spa twice in four days. The first time to have reflexology, very good and relaxing and then booked for a massage. It was one of the best I’ve had, the right amount of pressure, very professional and super friendly staff. Whether you go to Lavender Spa or the new sister site Lavender 2, I’m sure you will be impressed by the standard and certainly by the very competitive prices. Thoroughly recommend to those wishing to pamper themselves. We were also given a free ride to our hotel afterwards. All above and beyond.

This place and the ladies working here are amazing! Not only you get to have an unforgettable massage, well done, but you also get to have one for little money and a lot of time. In my 5 day stay at Inle lake, I went there 3 or 4 times, also bringing friends with me at times. While they said the massage is for 1h and the price for as little as 7k kyats (this was in Sep 2019), they actually massage you for much longer than that, sometimes almost 1.5h - no extra charge! They just really care to make the customer feel great! Also they are great hosts: when you arrive at their place, they sit you down, offer you snacks and tea, and do the same at the end of the massage. Lastly, the massage they offer is at times therapeutic, other times pure relaxation. It all depends on what you tell them or how they "read" the needs of your body with their hands - they are this talented and intuitive! By the way, the products they used are done inhouse, 100% natural and vegan, they use pure coconut oil. This way, they actually support local practices and products. It is one of the best massage places I have been in my life!

Small but well-taken care of, this is a beautiful wood make monastery. The nearby Paya with different sizes of statues, glass works and volunteer-contributed restauration is worth a visit.
