I took my mom for a surprise full-body massage and facial which she loved and with it being her first massage ever she remarked on how comfortable she felt. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the pricing is affordable! Would definitely recommend this spa as the best in the area.

Before arriving in Kruger for a 2 wk vacation, I reached out to Johnathan Patterson and explained my interest in visiting his gallery and in any Wild dog artwork he had. Explained I was going to be coming by the gallery before leaving back to the USA and was hoping on my vacation to spot my obsession....Wild Dogs. I was hoping to see them before leaving the park and then buy a piece from Johnathan to savor my experience forever. Well last morning in the park, we were surrounded by 30 dogs including 13 puppies for almost an hour in the road and I knew I needed to have something to remember that day. I arrived at the gallery and Johnathan was waiting to show me all the galleries artwork. He showed me a piece he had just finished of a Wild Dog and immediately I was in love and bought it. I returned home and decided to buy another piece of art from another artist Johnathan showcases, Andy Anderson. I wrote to Johnathan, explained what I wanted and bought it. I received it today and couldn't be more happy with it. Johnathan kept me updated on the shipment and where it was and it was carefully wrapped. I am returning to Kruger next August and plan to visit Johnathan again. His gallery is very nice, the artwork is incredible and to me very reasonable. The shops at the Casterbridge are very nice and I was able to pick up some last minute souvenirs before going back to JHBG. If you have the time, stop by this wonderful gallery, you won't be dissappointed.

Sudwala Caves

The Sudwala Caves is the oldest known caves in the world and lie in the Drakensberg escarpment.Regular guided tours take you 600 meters in and 150 meters underground. Tours leave every 10 min (approx) and take about 30 minutes. The caves have some amazing formations including stalactites, stalagmites, flow stones and pre cambrian fossils. The most famous formation is the Screaming Monster. This is actually a stalactite that has joined with a stalagmite and has formed a column that is 200 million years old.

We were staying in Sudwala Lodge and decided to go up to the caves as a way to kill time .. good decision. The caves are huge and are well displayed with appropriate lighting and excellent guides .. The nearest to these that we have seen were in Gibraltar and these are as awe inspiring as those. It's a bit of a hike uphill throughout the caves and 60 - 70 steps from the parking to the cave entrance .. The amphitheatre and the stalactites and stalagmites are really ancient and fabulous .. Well with a trip if you are in the region. The butterfly garden which is included in the to cket price is quite ordinary. Well worth a visit if in the region !!
