The 10 Best Things to do Good for a Rainy Day in Lagos, Algarve

August 15, 2021 Marianna Hollaway

There is rich and beautiful history within Lagos’ 14th century walls, from its fortress to picturesque churches like Medieval São João Hermitage and the 17th-century São Sebastião. But that’s all appetizer. People come here for a main-course coastal buffet featuring more than a half-dozen beautiful beaches. Quiet sandy coves are sandwiched between dramatic cliffs. The sandy 2.5-mile stretch of Meia Praia caters to every water sport imaginable. And when you’ve had your fill, you can digest your day with some of the best nightlife in the Algarve region.

We decided to take our mom to Frances' cooking class for a birthday/mother's day gift while we were on vacation in Portugal! It was one of the most amazing days of our trip. Frances and Milton were so welcoming and knowledgeable! We made four types of bread, grilled fresh fish from the fish market, octopus, bacalhau, a salad, dessert and more that I'm forgetting. It was a feast!! We will be back when we return one day! Thank you again Frances and Milton!!

Holy Trap - Escape Room Lagos

"In a village with very few inhabitants, where almost everyone is religious. It is said that no one has been seen entering or leaving the Clarksons house for a long time! Too long to believe everything is ok… There is a rumor that they left the house without saying anything to anyone, while others believe the family is still in there! Some say, at night, scary noises can be heard, that a mere human being would not be able to reproduce." It is up to you to discover what happened to the family and end this mystery once and for all!
