The Warehouse Theatre opened its doors in 1990 in the Old Breweries Building. It is Namibia's premier live entertainment venue and comprises a 300 seater/ 600 standing theatre, Boiler Room (Bar and Bistro) and Cellar of Rock. Freshlyground, Vusi Mahlasela and more recently Dilana and Under Kontrol, to name but a few, have had their Namibian debut on the Warehouse Theatre stage. 2014 Also saw two highly acclaimed performances by South African artist Johnny Clegg's acoustic band. The Boiler Room hosts Open Mic nights every Monday from 20h00, Karaoke nights on Tuesdays, and local live bands on Wednesday nights.

A unique day spa located in the heart of Windhoek's suburb, where indigenous marries the international in a splendid fusion of African body therapies. This oasis is designed to revitalize, replenish and restore. A perfect match to your safari itinerary, be it the start or the last day. Nomad also offers a complimentary "Relax Taxi', shuttling you to and from your Hotel or BnB.
I visited with my mum and had an amazing experience. Everyone was very friendly and the massage was extremely relaxing. The company’s policy to empower women by training and employing those who have fallen out of the schooling system is also especially impressive! Would 100% recommend :)

Lovely church, with a lovely architecture, both outside and inside. It's open during the week until 6 PM, during the weekend I found it closed. There was no one inside when I went, so i had a quiet time taking a few photos and absorbing it's simple beauty.

Approximately 38 craft stalls from rural communities, ethnic groups and projects sell Namibian handicraft here, which range from jewellery to carved tree roots. We have the freshest Namibian food and best cheesecake and apple crumble in town! Our Craft Cafe is known all over the world for its stylish and excellent food. We support Namibian micro and small enterprises, and contribute to increase income through the sale of Namibian craft. Over 4,000 producers and their families derive an income from sales of their craft. We support Namibian design and product development, which is reflected in our large range of unique and quality products. We encourage the use of environmentally friendly products and sustainable utilization of Namibian natural resources. Vendors inside the Namibia Craft Centre may stock up to 5% of non-Namibian, but African handi-craft. No goods from outside the continent may be sold inside the Craft Centre. Some handi-craft and materials are hard to come by in Namibia, which is why we have made this concession. Staff should be able to tell you exactly the origin of most goods.
Arrived a little early 0800am , coffee shop was open . The quality and variety of locally made goods is excellent.

Many people simply visit Windhoek as a stop over before Etosha or Soussesvlei, but the history is so rich and importabt. The Owela museum has rich, deep information on the humans that make up Namibia, cultures, and current challenges. There is so much to read here, but it is informative to someone who hopes to learn more. Very grateful we visited and took the time to explore this museum.
