Jeju is a hot tourist spot, booming with unique attractions. Romantic sunrises and sunsets, mild climate and beautiful sandy beaches make Jeju a popular honeymoon destination. Adventurers can hike to Baeknok Lake at the top of Mount Halla, South Korea’s highest peak. Keep an eye out for the “haenyeo,” female divers gathering fresh seafood, and the iconic “grandfather statues” displayed outside of many restaurants.

At ARARIO MUSEUM TAPDONG CINEMA, unique art works of various artists (including Ugo Rondinone, Kohei Nawa, Andy Warhol and more) will be displayed all throughout the 1st to 5th floor. Super-sized arts which requires complicated installation such as "Hero No.2" by Zhang Huan and "What does the vessel contain, that the river does not know" by Subodh Gupta will be premiered in Korea for the first time. In addition, display of 4 large scale paintings by German Neo-expressionist Sigmar Polke will also contribute to create an overwhelming ambiance at the museum.

I loved how not only did they have a lot of things on display but also that you could actually use and play with the majority of things they had on display. Time flied and staff was very helpful every time I needed any help. Would go again.

I would recommend that you read the book “The Island of Sea Women” by Lisa See before visiting the museum. I felt an emotional connection to the museum, the observatory and the grounds around the area, primarily because I had some background knowledge. The museum is well laid out and interesting. Do take the time to watch the video on the main floor before going through the exhibits. If you are there around 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. you may be able to see the women divers from the observatory on the 3rd floor. Getting there: we were on a cruise ship and took a taxi from the ship terminal in Jeju City. It took about an hour and was a very scenic drive. Our taxi driver gave us an hour to tour the museum and grounds and then dropped us off by the main market area in downtown Jeju City. It was under $100 for four people in a taxi.

Is a must visit to this market. Parking spot is very hidden. Lots of street food, souvenirs, tangerines, chocolate, fresh fish availables. Jungang Underground Shopping Center and Chilsungro Shopping Town is also next to this market. (near to entrance 4) Lots of people buying chocolates from the stall located at the intersection between entrance 3 and entrance 7. (probably the biggest stall and cheapest?)

Teddy Bear Safari is the world’s first exhibition theme park with various real life-sized wildlife and marine stuffed animals and teddy bears. Moreover, you will also meet our teddy bears dressed in traditional clothes of countries around the world and as gods from Greek mythology. Lastly, some of our teddy bears will be dressed up as Korean celebrities whom you may be well aware of.
