Sly Clyde is Virginia's first #coastal cidery, using 100% "craftily crushed" Virginia apples. All our ciders are produced on site by an award-winning team of cider makers. Join us in the tasting room (Starting August 25, 2018) for exclusive ciders, tours, and a lovely back patio. There are many restaurants in the area and Fort Monroe is less than a mile away!
Walked around Phoebus and decided to deck into Sly Clyde’s. Gorgeous old home with beautiful woodwork! Enjoyed a drink on the back patio, soaking in the January sunshine! Very busy afternoon for them, with a food truck serving up some yummy pizzas. Great to see this establishment thriving in a cute little piece of Phoebus! Cheers, Sly Clyde’s!!

Fort Monroe has been continuously fortified since the early 1600s, originally by the Jamestown settlers. Robert E. Lee was one of the contributors to the stone fortress as a young engineer early in his career. Escaped slaves sought & were granted refuge here. Jefferson Davis was imprisoned here. Sooo much history. The fort is beautiful & has been granted national monument status. Complete with a mote which you can drive through the gated bridges. The Point Comfort Light is located here on the Chesapeake Bay. For perspective, I tend to not be interested in military history. I have traveled the world over. Even I found it very interesting & well presented & easy to follow for all. Well worth the trip, especially for Civil War history. Conveniently located off highway 64 at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay.

Opened in 2003, the Hampton History Museum serves to increase the awareness and understanding of the history of Hampton by maintaining an educational and research center for the collection, exhibition, interpretation, preservation and promotion of the vast historic resources of the City.
This is a relatively small museum that has a lot of historical information about the area. The changing exhibit of the moment are the pictures and maps of a Union mapmaker. The detail in his pictures and maps were astounding! We found that exhibit to be very interesting!

We were visiting the area for three days and ended up eating there twice. The food was so delicious that we went back a second night. We all had something different both nights and nothing disappointed us. I truly enjoyed the corn beef and cabbage with mashed potatoes the first night (the cabbage was out of this world, along with the mashed potatoes) and the bourbon chicken the second. The rest of the family enjoyed the London Broil, Bangers and Mash, Pepper Steak, Capra Portabello and the Burger! But the biggest hilight was the Whiskey Breading Pudding for desserts. The servicers was friendly and helpful with recommendations! Thanks Kina!

If you are looking for a beautiful space to hold a gathering and be socially distanced, then St. George Brewing Company is an excellent choice! We held a family gathering in the new outdoor space and it was perfect. The spacious tent with heaters kept us all cozy, while in an open-air, safe, and sanitized environment. We were able to reserve it for a reasonable fee and the staff was fantastic. The beer tasting was fun and delicious! With all the challenges right now, it was great to be in a place where we felt not only safe, but well cared for ~and we had a blast!

Talk about stumbling into a find. Oozlefinch is a really cool brewery that I value across today... thank God. There beer selection is amazing, 15 in all. Ricky and Trina were amazing and fun while they took care of us at the bar. We ordered 2 flights and away we went! And what a flight it was, I'm still trying to figure out how to land this thing! The beers are amazing, they specialize in an array of sour beers with an amazing color presentation. Today, the food truck was a pizza truck...yum. I will review that shortly! A must stop for those visiting Williamsburg va!!

Escape Room Virginia Peninsula is a one-of-a-kind experience for families, friends, and co-workers to explore, search for clues, decode ciphers, and solve puzzles as a team. You only have 60 minutes. Are you ready to unlock the fun?
There were 5 in our group and we “almost escaped” from Cabin 11. We all had fun and enjoyed working together to unravel the clues. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and helped us out once when one of the locks proved difficult. A clean facility and easy to find thanks to good signage. Would definitely do this again.

You have 60 minutes to escape, will you get out? Come experience Downtown Hampton like never before with Moonshiners, Flapper girls and Gangsters!
I purchased a Groupon and booked the "Missing Miss Marie" experience. It was so much fun! Wanted to find a fun family activity with adult kids for my birthday. This was perfect! Pretty sure I'd still be in the room trying to solve the clues if it weren't for them. Lol. But we made it out without ANY helps and time to spare! Very cool set up and vibe, cool staff, totally recommend!!
