China’s third-largest city is the capital of Guangdong Province and a thriving commercial center. Its location on the Pearl River and proximity to Hong Kong has made Guangzhou a strategic port for centuries. Glimpse old temples and gleaming steel towers on an architectural tour. Visit one of four Chimelong theme parks for thrills and chills. Once called Canton, Guangzhou is considered the home of traditional (read Cantonese) “Chinese food.” Foodies will find more restaurants per capita here than anywhere else in China.

Hi this is Xaq, I am a Guangzhou native and have been providing tour guide/translation service for foreign visitors in Guangzhou for 5 years. I am proud of my hometown city and keen on sharing with you the colorful culture, history, landscape and people's life in Guangzhou. Apart from Guangzhou city tour, I also operate out of town tours to visit the countryside area and the neighboring cities like Foshan/Shunde and Kaiping/Taishan for beautiful natural scenery(like the big Glass Skywalk Bridge across the mountains with natural waterfalls), UNESCO sites, hotspring spa experience and so on. I would be also able to help you with all those listed tours on Tripadvisor with cheaper rate and if you have any special requests, let me know and I can customize a tour just for you and your family:) Contact me if you have any questions or need any help.^_^. I am not available on phone call, but you can reach me by whatsapp or Email and I will reply you at my earliest convenience, thank you.

A must-see attraction, with a history of more than 100 years and still in its original shape. The buildings are famous for their exquisite and mythical decorations, such as the brick carvings of historic figures. The temple also functions as a museum under the auspices of Guangdong Folk Arts Museum, exhibiting a variety of folk arts and crafts.
Great intro into Guangdong Folk Art. Traditional Chinese architecture and decoration, beautiful ornaments and ceramics on display and the building / temple as such is a sight itself. We started our day here and there's lots of other places nearby to check out, all easy to reach by taxi and some even on foot.

An interesting place showcasing the history of the greater region before it became a part of China proper. Museum has many artefacts and is well-presented. The mausoleum on the grounds is simpler, but nonetheless, a good visit paired with the museum.

This 90-minute show is a mixture of The House of Dancing Water and the typical animal circus. The acts take place on and off stage and over the audience.
We enjoyed this show very much. Do arrive early as it's free seating for the cheapest sector tickets. We took the free shuttle bus from the metro station to the circus venue. The pre show entertainment starts at 7 pm. A very enjoyable show not to be missed. Bought our tickets thru klook with easy redemption at the admission tkt counters.

We really loved our visit here. Hard to believe it is in the middle of the city. You walk in and go back 2,000 years. Amazing to see the craftsmanship and how they engineered the city. Wells that used sand to filter water and dams to control water. We spent about 2 1/2 hours. Lots of English signs to read.

It is a very beautiful opera house, both inside and out. But when will they have Beijing opera and Sichuan/Chengdu quick mask changing performances? Guangzhou has the facilities, but not the shows. For a great selection of shows, Beijing is by far the leader. Come on Guangzhou, let’s gets more Chinese content.

With a total floor area of approximate 138,000 sqm meters, the mall at Taikoo Hui Guangzhou is home to over 180 brands, including internationally acclaimed brands, sophisticated lifestyle boutiques and exquisite cuisines and restaurants, more than 70 of which are making their debut in Guangzhou. Several acclaimed brands set up their flagship stores at Taikoo Hui Guangzhou. On the lifestyle front Ole', a high-end supermarket, is making its first appearance in Guangzhou as the city's premium outlet for all culinary and lifestyle needs. Taikoo Hui Guangzhou is dedicated to present differentiated shopping experience to its customers.
Certainly better and more upmarket than Teemall. Good range of high and mid end boutique stores within the mall. It also has a large foodcourt and variety of good restaurants. Recommended.
