In our shop, we sell handmade leather products of high quality. These are handmade by local craftsmen with respect for old traditions and in modern Scandinavian design. We have our own workshop, where we hand make all of our products. We believe in fair business. We pay a good and fair salary to all our employees. We pay social security to secure not only our employees but also their families. We do only use cow leather and pigskin in our bags. Our leather comes from Nicaraguan cows. It is free range cows with imperfections like scars and bruises. Just like all of us. These imperfections are an important part of our design and give the bags character and make them unique.

Everyone at Casa Xalteva from Gerald y Fatima (administrators) to Gaby (my teacher) have been very helpful and friendly. They customized the program to my requests, focusing on conversation and listening in my case. Furthermore Gaby agreed to my request to spend some of the conversation time in the streets, seeing the area and learning more about the culture in my one week of classes. I highly recommend this school and would return.

I was fortunate enough, or guided towards Amos, the owner at balance spa in Granada Nicaragua. It is located upstairs in the back of the restaurant tercero ojo. I have had extensive massage experience (I am a masseuse myself) and I have to say this was one of the best massages I have ever had in my life. That is saying a LOT!!!! Amos is amazing, he is so knowledgable and just gets the body and he is a healer in the truest form. My husband also had a massage from a woman who was his relative and said it was absolutely fabulous as well. If you find yourself in beautiful Granada, please give yourself the greatest gift and get a massage and cupping at Balance Spa. I am completely in love with the whole experience there.

You may think that the Guadalupe Church is dirty and unkempt but it actually makes for great photos. We came right after the sun was setting in the blue hours, it makes for great photos. It is located on the end of the busy pedestrian street.

Kenny "Willy Wonka" is the best. We went for the free tour, bought some of the chocolate for sale and came back for the chocolate making class. Kenny is beyond high energy. He's a nice guy and make the class fun for us. This was worth the trip for sure.

I was visiting Nicaragua for a 2 week vacation, and found Mombacho Cigars by accident. Of my two week vacation this was the highlight my trip. Having a tour of their location, making my own cigar, and the staff was friendly and courteous. My only regret was not leaving with more cigars and merchandise!
