Revisited after about 6 months since the last time. Have been here many times but always seem to find something I’ve missed before or something new added, and enjoy seeing the same exhibits again. Also, the special exhibition changes every few months. Well worth revisiting if you haven’t been for a while.

You can get up close and personal with the animals and touch them at the aquarium. This outstanding aquarium is located in front of the Sea of Japan, right next to Tojinbo. This popular, original facility is a little different from your run-of-the-mill aquarium. The secret is the Taikangata (experiencing) Aquarium. Here you can feed huge sea turtles and fish, and touch a giant octopus, a seal and even a live shark! The aquarium is open until 9:00 p.m., and in summer children can swim alongside fish in the Kaisui Pool and enjoy observing the seaside life on the natural ocean shore. In addition, in the Ocean Hall that will open in July 2009, the Coral Sea, where you can try floating on top of the ocean like in a dream, is a must-see! It’s an experience in a super dimensional space like walking on the surface of the water. Of course the aquarium is also replete with an enjoyable dolphin show. As everyday attractions, visitors can touch a dolphin and take a walk next to Humboldt penguins.
